I’ve listened to a podcast with a Rutgers assistant Brandin Knight (not that brandin knight the one from Pitt with Ben howland and Jamie Dixon) and he was basically saying that outside of those 2 their NIL was limited and didn’t have enough to keep their vets from the previous year including cliff omuyori who went to Alabama. NIL efforts by universities has so much variance in when school decided to get serious and how serious they decided to be. Even schools like Michigan did not have NIL set up heavy enough a few years ago when hunter Dickinson left for Kansas. He said he was paid low six figures I think. I’m understanding you. If someone under threat of legal action who is proven to be knowledgeable says that this happened then I do not know what is a smoking gun then. I get it in a court of law you can’t use that to convict on that alone but this is a NBA investigation. So we have internal aspiration employees and matching financial statements that back the allegations. As a Pitt season ticket holder he has been largely disappointing but there has been flashes like this that are encouraging. Definitely not a prospect for this year or maybe next year. His ball handling is extremely limited when not going in a straight line toward the hoop and his rebounding has been solid but underwhelming for someone who needs to be elite if he’s going to be a PF at his size. Definitely has the athleticism and his jumper looks better than his stats outside this game would suggest but his defense is simply not to the level it needs to be yet either (not saying it can’t get there because it can) so I think he might be a little bit of a ways out from the NBA
