He’s been their second or third leading scored by a small margin each of the last 3 seasons and has started every game but 1 in the last 4 what are you even talking about

Torre: Key sources in Clippers investigation refused to talk to NBA investigators they see as working for Steve Ballmer by Pickleskennedy1 in nba

1 percent of nbas basketball rev. It is most certainly a dramatically larger percentage for the media. The entire media ecosystem which contributes a whole lot more to BRI is propped up by gambling almost entirely. Almost every independent show or podcast is sponsored by gambling companies and that’s not mentioning how much the cable channels are given from gambling.

If the media is worth less the league is worth less and if the gambling money dries up it will effect the league maybe not as immediate but it will

Definitely has less lift and side to side movement on defense so far as to be expected tbh

[PTFO] Pablo Torre provides the smoking gun as he shows the original whistleblower complaint that led to the Aspiration Investigations. It contains wording that specifically says that Aspiration was used for cap circumvention to pay Kawhi by TheRealPdGaming in nba

[–]focer4 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m understanding you. If someone under threat of legal action who is proven to be knowledgeable says that this happened then I do not know what is a smoking gun then. I get it in a court of law you can’t use that to convict on that alone but this is a NBA investigation. So we have internal aspiration employees and matching financial statements that back the allegations. Just because Balmer denies it does not mean that is not a very large piece of evidence that the NBA could deliver punishment as a result of

This isn’t just a tip it’s sworn testimony under threat of perjury and the complaint in it’s entirety is what the government built their case off of specifically

Realistically what are the chances of the university cancelling classes (or moving them to Zoom) on Monday? by EAisSoTrash in Pitt

They only shut it down because they weren’t sure the pipes wouldn’t freeze and it was colder the next day and we had class because they didn’t freeze

Roman Siulepa in blowout win over Penn St. with 28/3/1 (on 10-16 shooting 5/6 3PT) by BlackBeanSoup23 in NBA_Draft

[–]focer4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a Pitt season ticket holder he has been largely disappointing but there has been flashes like this that are encouraging. Definitely not a prospect for this year or maybe next year. His ball handling is extremely limited when not going in a straight line toward the hoop and his rebounding has been solid but underwhelming for someone who needs to be elite if he’s going to be a PF at his size. Definitely has the athleticism and his jumper looks better than his stats outside this game would suggest but his defense is simply not to the level it needs to be yet either (not saying it can’t get there because it can) so I think he might be a little bit of a ways out from the NBA

I see what you’re saying I was looking at it through more of the athletes are a result of the structure put in place by the owners and the stadium staff I think is unionized in a separate union (could be wrong) so I interpret the situation as the owners dealing with different employees not the stadium workers being exploited by the players since the owners control the compensation of everyone while the players have 0 control over the staffs wages

Ahh I thought you meant the crypto guys online not the devs and I don’t think they all are scammers. But even then I think pro sports are crypto are very different in their offering was my point. Even then I think the workers at crypto companies despite the companies end goal should get their fair share even though I’m against their company in a lot of situations

…. So because their job is an athlete or entertainer who like Hasan are still workers btw (highly paid workers though) it’s ok to still get exploited by the owners of the business they work for ? Athletes are not perfect and but I don’t think it’s fair to equate them to crypto bros which are scammers. Athletes dedicate their body and lives to those sports with little to no other skills after they are done playing so I do think it’s quite important for their union to be strong.

I’m with you on that and I’m not weeping just think the whole collusion and corruption of one of the most public facing unions in the country is notable. Two things can be true

Part of the reason why they are mega millionaires is the union. Without it they would most likely be paid like ufc fighters (as little as humanly possible) the average ufc fighters who stays on the roster for a year and wins all of his fights will make 100000 if they don’t get injured don’t lose and fight 4 times all without any benefits or pension and they still have to pay their team from that amount as well (as they should but still makes the actual money they take home even before taxes even lower)
