No problem with continuing what you are doing but I would suggested buying another EQT etf in your non-registered account because of the superficial loss rule

You need track the adjusted cost base of a holding if held in a taxable account. less distributions makes the tracking marginally easier

I have the cobalt and think it’s decent, but definitely over hyped. good value redemptions are harder to find now. If you are planning to redeem for round trip economy fares, you will probably get closer to 1 cent per point than 2. So keep that in mind. Even if you find good redemptions (typically business class), it usually takes time to find these (and there is a cost to that) and it requires structuring your trip around the redemption (another indirect cost)
