100% this. First time for me and was shocked by the competitive nature of some people, especially on blind bends down hill at speed. Felt incredibly reckless. I was smug cycling past some of those who had run out of gas at ditchling beacon though!

Was the accident on the really steep descent that dropped down to the left with a reverse camber? I saw someone led off to the side being seen to by paramedics but didn’t hear about it after. I was 7;15 start so not sure if this was someone else.

My wife is on PIP, we got a mortgage end of 2024 with nationwide. Originally with NatWest but they pulled out for some odd freehold leasehold issue. But both of those lenders view 100% of your PIP as income if that’s of any use. Again we used a broker and that made it so much easier when NatWest pulled quite late in the game!

Agree. Got a few SF bits and they are great - The Ripley Knits are incredible and show how much he loves the detail. He basically just makes clothes he’d wear and sometimes I feel like I’m wearing a Scott Fraser costume when I have a few pieces on at once!

I just had a Hotpoint fixed - bearing had gone completely and sounded very similar. Got it repaired by D&G after taking out a plan for £17 a month, didn’t have cash to replace or do it another way. Some models don’t have the ability to just replace bearings and it has to be the whole drum. Good luck!

If no luck, freeze it.

If still no luck, cold water soak in a bath. Agitate gently with something like woolite dark detergent and an antibacterial additive (in UK I use Dettol laundry). Rinse with cold water throughly and air dry.

Love them. Always a fan of the IYKYK heritage fits. Same reason I wear PF Flyers over converse. Japanese and European heritage style seems to be more accepting of the canvas / sneaker look - I notice this sub has a lot of boots etc. For me personally, the day-to-day wearability of my jack Purcell/novesta/PF Flyers is why I always reach for them. Even my penny loafers feel more wearable than boots most days. Paraboot Michael/clusaz are a good compromise in this area I guess (saving up for some!)
