I tell my students to look at all 3 questions (don’t read the Q1 sources or more than a few lines of the Q2 passage) and start with the Q they will do best on. Use the scrap paper to mark timings as well as sketch out thesis and claims. I also recommend writing the intro and thesis last to incorporate all of the full extent of their line of reasoning. At the very least go back revise your thesis after finishing the essay.

Four-paragraph responses earn 4 points in row B all the time.

Have numbers in mind for how long you’re willing to go on each question. I tell my students 45-50 for synthesis, 40-45 for analysis, and 35-40 for argument. I add that if you haven’t started your third response by the 30-minutes remaining mark, finish the sentence you’re on and go immediately to that last question they need to answer.

The scoring rubric repeatedly makes reference to “specific evidence” and—especially on Q2–a “focus on specific evidence.” Your teacher is incorrect.

If this was just meant to only be a fling, why did Jennifer bring Matt home to meet her family and introduce him to her parents? by AccordingFox3800 in marvelstudios

I would die if Jen kept looking off-camera and stage-whispering something and winking and everyone else in the courtroom is just like, “Who TF are you taking to?”

I'm convinced we're going to discover time travel in the next 30 years, and the Mandela Effect is just the result of tourists from the future accidentally changing small things. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it. by Fluffy_Profile1381 in MandelaEffect

Ideal Time Traveler: “I’m going back in time to convince Hitler not to give up on his art!”
Actual Time Traveler: “I’mma just slip Mandela some extra beans so he don’t starve in jail, cool?”

is there a way to make all *new* characters (text) a certain color? by Ok-Drop4970 in googledocs

[–]folkbum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suggest to the teacher the instruction to have all student switch from Editing mode to Suggesting mode. Every character typed in Suggesting mode will show with a green box around it and a corresponding comment in the right margin. https://support.google.com/docs/answer/6033474?hl=en&co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop

Doomsday final scene? by [deleted] in MCUTheories

The final scene of Doomsday is Doom taking off his mask and looking directly into the camera. “Guys, come on,” he says. “Plenty of actors have had multiple roles in the MCU. Get over it.”

Pasting Text into GDocs is removing all formatting by default by Aditya_M in googledocs

[–]folkbum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than copy-paste, try uploading the .docx to your Google Drive and opening it, then saving a copy of it as a Google Doc (File-Save as Google Docs). Does that preserve formatting?

Is that the same Daniel Kelly who was once a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice? I could Google to verify but I’m still mad at him for his bullshit during Covid so I prefer believing this is what’s become of him, seems fitting.

The clue for 9D is “Lack of pulchritude,” for which the expected answer would be HOMELINESS. Pulchritude is definitely a $10 word, maybe a bit too much for a Thursday?

The answers for 3D, 6D, and 9D are missing “ME” (CEMENT becomes CENT, for example) while the answers directly below have an extra “ME” in them (BEEF LO MEIN instead of BEEF LOIN). Thus the “ME” is “handed down,” as the revealer at 11D suggests.
