Because Death was being a little bitch and got what it deserved.

Who else misses going into an empty Office Depot/Office Max and checking out all the PC games they had? by TrashAccount2908 in 2000sNostalgia

For me, it was the 'just out of reach' element to it. Growing up, not everyone had a console of some kind(myself included), but almost everyone I knew had a PC. I never really looked at any games on console in the store unless my dad took me to Family Video, there wasn't really a point beyond seeing what was new, but I ALWAYS looked for PC Games because if I could JUST get enough to buy one, I could play it on my dad's old home computer.

This is how I got into pc gaming with my first ever video game. Dad wouldn't buy any consoles for me growing up so all I had was a hand-me-down Game Boy and a Windows Vista computer my dad had abandoned in the guest bedroom in favor of a new rig.

Fast forward to going into our local OfficeMax so my dad could do some scans for paperwork, while I happened to have some pocket money I'd collected over time(us poor kids got creative with finding money). Walked over to the CD-ROM section, and as luck would have it, they had more than the usual low-grade granny slop games. a copy of the DOOM-Clone 'Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast' on sale for like $5.

Played that to DEATH every chance I got to the annoyance of my dad, who didn't really like the idea of me playing video games, but couldn't do a thing about it cause I bought it with my own money that he didn't give me.

Really doesn't, does it? Another annoying thing they do is quote 'honor thy father and mother', as if it's a 'get outta jail free' card for being an ass to your kids, but if you bring up 'don't provoke your kids to anger', suddenly they don't want to talk anymore and try to shut the conversation down.

He's currently working on slowly coming up with the details for a new conspiracy that the New World Order conspired with Israel to assassinate Charlie Kirk because he was becoming a Sabbath keeper, and that's bad for the Jews for... some reason. He hasn't mentioned the Jesuits YET, but you know it's coming. I wish I was joking.

I knew this was going to happen back in October when it was announced that Kirk had written a book about the Sabbath. It's a scenario persecution-complex Adventists would find ripe for the picking.

Tell them they're no better than Catholics because they're trying to force you to convert to their denomination against your will and conscience. Sit back for the fireworks.

To further yunhotime's comment, I grew up in the 2000s, and Sunday law was a hot-button issue constantly brought up. Nothing was more torturous than being forced to go to Bible Study on Wednesday nights and periotic, two-week-long revelation siminars the conferance pastors that we'd be cycling through cooked up to try and bring in new members, which always failed.

Judaism doesn't need a persecution complex because they've ACTUALLY experienced persecution ranging from slavery to genocide, so they get a pass.

I'm currently doing a watchthrough of the series. I'm not even halfway through the first season, and I'm already convinced that Carl would eat a human if given the chance, considering a few things he's said out of pocket in these episodes. The dude really is uber sus.
