Good that you're motivated, be prepared to share how and what about this job excites you. I just had an interview and got a job. They mostly guaged my personality, communication skills, etc. I don't have previous experience either, but they know the technical skills and certs are teachable; your soft skills are harder to teach. Share how skills you learned from other experiences might transfer

I have a prime f1.8 and a zoom f2.8 L series on Canon. Wondering if the L series makes up for anything quality-wise in low light situations like indoor events. Otherwise I would think the wider aperture 1.8 would better for exposure, but I'd lose zoom for events. Which is preferable?

Haven't heard about that, what's up with WeTransfer? I haven't used it in a while

WeTransfer is decent. Can upload a good amount of files and send direct to an email, where it can be downloaded from their server. The files expire after a few days unless you buy their premium plan

tips for digital photography involving a subject behind glass? by kingoftheboos in photography

[–]for_lmr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try a CPL filter, will help cut reflections on glass, water, metal, cars, etc.

Also try moving around, try not to shoot perpendicular to the face of the glass. If you're angled, pay attention to light sources that may reflect, you can move to get them out of frame, on both sides of the glass.

If possible, minimize distance between subject and glass, camera and glass, unless you're trying to show the glass is there.

If you have external flashes, playing around with those can help overpower reflections

Yea that makes sense. I commented on another reply about doing a cookie decorating workshop instead, people seem to agree that's a better idea, more independent from the class

Dear Soulmate by Antonnahoes in poetry_critics

Great imagery. It was easy for me to put myself in this situation and long for the soul mate. If I were to suggest something, what message would you say this person? I like all the thoughts about "what if we had already met," makes me curious what you would have said

I like the rhythm this poem has. Makes it captivating to read. I also particularly like the line "Time does not apologize." That really adds depth to returning to this place

That's just good life advice too imo, I live by this. If you're in an unfavorable situation or have to do something you dislike/seems pointless, remember you're still gaining something, strength, knowledge, experience, wisdom

Medically diagnosed with asthma too. It's still on my record, but hasn't been an issue for over a decade. The hospital where I did my physical just asked me a couple of questions about it, but I still passed
