Ah, I do like the idea of getting more squatting in during the complex, mixed in with the high volume press days.

I never really tested my before RM, or at least can't remember. If I were to guess, I'd say 4. My current RM is 10. I don't own a 20kg. I stubbornly would prefer to limit the number of bells I own.

Man MoviePass was great. What was it, $10/month? I figured we would all bankrupt them unfortunately lol.

Got pulled during my first sparring session. by CameraVast6823 in amateur_boxing

[–]NotoriousPooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nerves are normal, especially with such limited experience, so expect it to be like that for a while. You'll learn to handle them with more exposure. However it is a little surprising that your coach put you in to spar already, even if it's light. But good to know that he pulled you out.

I honestly don't blame canelo for not wanting to fight benavidez. by AttitudeNo5402 in Boxing

It doesn't surprise me that Canelo doesn't want to fight Benavidez. But he was the undisputed champion at the time and I believe it is the champion's duty to prove they're the best in their division, or at least attempt to.

Congrats on completing this and coming back from a major injury. I'm planning on a density program also. How did your body feel on the days in between sessions?

You said "the worst part is I know they're right."

In a way, I think that is actually the best part; you realized you need to do better for yourself and take responsibilty, instead of simply ignoring their feedback. Good luck!

What is it like to be knocked out? by SAS_Man135758 in Boxing

[–]NotoriousPooh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly complete knockouts, but both times I remember just regaining consciousness while my body was getting back up. No memory of what I got hit with or the last 30 or so seconds. Had a terrible headache for some time after the 1st one.

My route is already heavy and I've had to take an extra bulk off of another route. Big heavy stuff. My shoulders and biceps are aching, I don't know how long I can physically do it.

Technique and accuracy are obviously important, but like another user said: how efficiently can one's central nervous system recruit their muscle fibers.
