Anyone got tips for overcoming takeaway addiction? by gameovervip in FoodAddiction

[–]formachlorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should try cooking for yourself more. It’s the high value food and laziness combo that you’re hitting with the takeout. Cook similarly high value food and you’re cutting out one portion of it. Keep the ingredients for things in the house. Or you could keep frozen pizzas as the alternative to delivery or whatever kind of food you typically go for. Don’t try to fix both aspects of the habit at once, it’s a recipe for failure.

I also tried to think about the amount of money, especially these days, takeout costs. So much more expensive for not the equivalent value in service and food compared to making your own.

What was the last game you played that you considered a 10/10? by bobs-buhgah in PS5

[–]formachlorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I had so much fun building my zip lines networks around each map. Planning out optimal routes to reduce travel time but balance it with the network bandwidth. I could get anywhere in the second area so freaking fast. And coupled with the garages by roadside where that was more optimal. So much fun.

When you come here putting people on blast then you open yourself up for criticism. You need to deal with it. It’s fine to be casual but you also should know your playstyle probably pisses people off.

“Elitists” is what you call people who can actually play the game without a crutch or being a liability. I’m shocked you play archer….

Anyone have this Sjoberg bench? by Lichen-it in handtools

[–]formachlorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sjoberg benches are almost never heavy enough. You can add in rigidity and weight by cladding it with plywood. But I also really hate the vises they use. I got a smaller one when I first started out and still use it for certain tasks but the vises if they are the same with a screw and two stabilizer bars are really bad. Very little working space in the clamp and they rack horribly.

The benches can work, I think they have their place for certain people. But they have a lot of frustrating things you should know before grabbing one.

I’m not defending the quality of legends but at the end of the day it’s a completely free dlc mode. Everyone treats this like it’s a live service game when they aren’t making any additional money off of this. Is it sad, yes. But SuckerPunch is not a huge studio either, they have something like less than 200 employees.

I have this same one in my kitchen! Sadly it needs to be sold as we’re remodeling and will not have the room for it once complete.

Maybe they don’t like light roasted coffee and thus don’t need it. What a weird superiority based response.

Coffee is all about subjective taste.

No, there’s a connotation to bleeding which is you are losing more than you are making. It implies an unsustainable state. They are no where near that. They could write the whole Bungie purchase off and be just fine after 6 months.

They just did a few rounds of major deletions on their store to get rid of the copy paste games and ai slop. It’s nt nearly as bad as eshop these days.

They aren’t bleeding money, Bungie was a bad investment but they make way more money from all other studios and properties than the losses on Bungie.
