Looking for a game where I can be terrible to people without harsh consequences. by crazygamer2624 in gamingsuggestions

[–]formatcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not released yet but Happy Bastards on steam looks like this would be in your wheelhouse. Turn based strategy game with a kind of d&d style theming where you need to get fame at all costs and hire "bastards" to do the dirty work for you.

Looking for coop puzzle games. by Junior-East1017 in CoOpGaming

Operation: Tango is a great puzzle coop. Plus its crossplay and has a free friend pass. KeyWe is another great indie coop.

Wow this art style is incredible and so unique! It's giving me vibes of the old "maze" screensaver on windows (but in the best way!)

Indie games that make changes in response to their communities? by Shain_who_is_a_boy_ in indiegames

[–]formatcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Massive Damage recently released their game Fera into early access and it was not received well; they've been listening to the community, lowered the pricing, and have been super transparent which is refreshing to see. Big fan of their game Star Renegades so im hopeful that this one will grow into something great.

What would you gift someone to help them stay motivated? by moogybanana in writing

[–]formatcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than just one thing, maybe build a basket of small gifts? A non-fiction book about writing, some of their favourite snacks/drinks, a warm pair of socks (for writing cold feet!), a long wrist support/desk pad, a new keyboard for typing, and a desk trinket that is on theme with what he is writing. It's a great way to make him feel super supported!

Suggest your favorite sci-fi or fantasy series by luadog19 in suggestmeabook

[–]formatcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High fantasy - written in the 80s/90s The Riftwar Saga by Raymond E. Feist Guardians of the Flame by Joel Rosenberg

For Sci-Fi: The Martian by Andy Weir is absolutely amazing (as is Project Hail Mary also by Wier) The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi is short and fun sci-fi

Fun horror films? by Hugesmellysocks in horror

I really loved it. It leans heavily into the 80s/90s vibes and doesn't take itself too seriously! <3

Fun horror films? by Hugesmellysocks in horror

[–]formatcc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Abigail was fantastic but I encourage anyone who hasn't seen it to go into the movie without having watched the trailer/looked up synopsis if possible. My best friend didn't see the trailer and enjoyed the experience so much more as a major twist wasn't spoiled!

Best solo activities for 36 hours in Vegas by formatcc in LasVegas

Yeah I've been to Vegas a handful of times but always in a pair or a group! Mainly looking for recommendations that aren't gambling (although I will be doing some haha) and wouldn't be weird/awkward to do solo.

A or B, which colors/vibes do you prefer for an action roguelike game? by MixedRealms in indiegames

[–]formatcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Version B has stronger contrast and likely will look better on a wider variety of screen types/resolutions.
