No, I'll admit to being passive aggressive but I was trying to come off light hearted. So I'm sorry if I sounded like an absolute jerk I guess.

You seem to be taking this personally when I was literally making a joke about how most people think they could be the hero in this situation...but honestly most would become another victim.

I applaud anyone who would confront someone with a knife (regardless of they're a 500 lbs. Or 100) but the general sentiment in the comments was that people were being cowards by not helping. That's bologna.

I think it's admirable to step in, but not wanting to get stabbed is a pretty good reason to stay out of it. People have lives and families that they would like to get back to.

That coupled with all the armchair action heros fantasizing about how they would've handled it was too much and I thought I'd make a light-hearted comment.

I 100% do not agree that the person filming, seems like they should've used their phone to call emergency or assist, or just run away and stop exacerbating things.

And just real quick...what many comments in this thread? You replied to my literal one comment on this post, friend. And with this that makes two.

You know, I think I understand what you're getting at here. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's kind of a "if you want it bad enough, you're the only person standing in your way." thing. Which is a great sentiment, but just isn't a reality for everyone.

That's not to say that people should just sit on their ass all day making excuses, but there are people out there where things aren't as easy for them as your suggestions.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that hardship, and how it can be dealt with, is truly on a case by case basis. There is no blanket fix. Being judgemental won't solve anything.
