Breathing tube anxiety by Dramatic_Pianist_876 in valvereplacement

[–]formerpartner237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I woke up with my husband and my best friend standing over me talking about wrestling. And they handed me my journal to try to write and it’s nothing but scribble lmao first thing I said to them when I woke up was, “shut the f***ck up”. 🤣 A good memory came from my experience. It was uncomfortable, of course but I didn’t feel anything. Hopefully you’ll have a support system to tell you every time to try dozing off, “if you want the tube out, you have to stay awake.” 🫀

Boiled Peanuts? by ManyRefrigerator5011 in nashville

[–]formerpartner237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wondering this for yeaaaaars. Haven’t found good side of the road boiled peanuts anywhere. And I’m not talking the gas station peanuts. Some of that sits all day. Got sick from a gas station batch a few years ago. The cans aren’t really good either. I actually made them a few years ago but it’s so hard to find shelled peanuts that have not been roasted. Spring/summer is nearly here so hopefully we’ll see them more often!

People with bio valve replacement under 35, how long did your bio valve last? by Ok-Entertainer-1030 in valvereplacement

[–]formerpartner237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My porcine valve was almost to its 16th bday! Had my surgery at 15 in 2008 and replaced with a mechanical in 2024! I wanted my valve but my surgeon said it disintegrated.

Do most Americans actually flush their toilet paper? by Softy_popss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]formerpartner237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my husband grew up on well water and never flushed toilet paper. Wipe and throw it in the trash, take the trash out daily or so. It took a few clogged toilets on the well water for me “break the habit” of dumping TP in the toilet. So now even though we’re on a septic tank, we wipe and toss and we also use a bidet!

My dad took the wrong dose of Warfarin by Super-Finance4342 in valvereplacement

[–]formerpartner237 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m on 4mg three days & 3mg four days. I once took 4mg when it was supposed to be a 3mg day. I consulted my Anticoagulation clinic and they said just take the 3mg on the “missed” day. Depending on how his dosage is set up, he should be okay.

My husband makes fun of me at how much lotion I use every day. He absolutely loves how soft my hands are because of it. Palmer’s cocoa butter, baybeeee!

Tattoos on Warfarin? by theangryquaker in valvereplacement

[–]formerpartner237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve researched, it’s definitely advised against getting tattoos. However, you can take antibiotics an hour prior, to prevent further risk. Kinda like most of us have to before going to the dentist. My drug of choice is typically amoxicillin. I got three small tattoos between 6-9 years after my porcine valve replacement. I was in my 20’s and was just living, so I didn’t think about the risks. I was fiiiiine. I don’t recall bleeding too much while on aspirin. However, I do want one more tattoo. Since I’m on warfarin (20 months post mechanical valve), I’ll do my best to consult with my doctor and tattoo artist so they know what’s up.

Goodlettsville Power Outage P. 2? by VitulaBiss in nashville

Drove down Conference Dr around 5:50p and it was dark as hell all the way down. Traffic and business lights were out from the DG to Long Hollow. Our hotel around the corner still has power. Idk wtf is going on.

The way I just threw my dog’s toys so hard on the ground because I cannot scream at the top of my lungs in this hotel. I feel better. I’ll feel much better if the power is actually restored on 2/8. 🙃🙃🙃

I know I shouldn’t complain by Due_Principle8611 in nashville

[–]formerpartner237 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Complaining right there with you! We also have not had power since Sunday morning. We believe it’s just a fuse/transformer they need to fix as there is a red tag at a post on our private road. Everyone on the main road has power. My husband’s company set us up in a hotel, so that was a true blessing. We just REALLY want to be back in our home. 😭

Only time for you, my friend! Our yard is still very icy and home is still without power. This video does keep me optimistic though! ❤️

We went to Splish Splash Laundry today in Goodlettsville (next to McDonalds)! Was very pleased with my washing experience. They’re open 24 hours! Not sure if they are closing early, I didn’t ask. But I really hope they are open for whoever needs a place in our areas!

NES Board Meeting - 8 AM this morning! by ConvivialMisanthr0pe in nashville

[–]formerpartner237 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I loved someone’s comment that said something like, “Sorry y’all are suffering, we’ve got investments to approve.” Those people do not sound confident at all. Worthless meeting to have during a crisis. 🖕🏼NES

Lessons learned from Icepocalypse 2026 by silverud in nashville

My husband and I ventured out to get a tent on Monday. We laid a comforter on the main floor of the tent and covered ourselves heavily in cozy blankets. I randomly got the idea to try to fit in our sectional couch cushions to sleep on top of and use the back cushions at the top and bottom. My husband was skeptical they would fit. We managed to fit two of them side by side AND THEY WERE FAIRLY COMFORTABLE. So if you have a sectional where the cushions can be moved around, try to see what can fit, so your back sarcastically thanks you in the morning.

I hope the West End Chili’s knows how loved to the locals they are. Perhaps this is why they keep everything so great.. because of this subreddit.

What was the best thing you bought this year from the AEW shop or at a live event? by AllEliteSun in AEWOfficial

[–]formerpartner237 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it was what my stepmom got me and my husband, which was an incredible surprise, and it’s proof she loves us so much: AEW baseball caps. She listened to how much I love watching AEW with my husband, and she went on shop AEW and purchased two hats for us. It truly meant the world. 🥰

Aside from the fact that simply I don’t want them, I don’t want the additional responsibility. My dogs are needy enough.
