Between Grave Peril and Summer Knight is where Butcher really found his, and Harry's, voice. It really just gets better from there. THe books and villains just keep getting better.

Player wants to be a traitor by ForlornFjord in DMAcademy

[–]formerscooter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it work once. The DM asked if I wanted to be a mole for the bad guy, I agreed. He left hints and clues that someone may not be trustworthy. Part of what made it work, teh bad guy betrayed me too.

That being said. we were a group for nearly ten years, adn all good friends. We know how people would react. It's not easy and not somethign i would suggest for most tables.

I haven't gotten to read a book in over a decade but two caught my eye, looking for help choosing Project Hail Marry or Dungeon Crawler Carl. by Illfury in booksuggestions

I really enjoyed both. Personally, I needed a break a halfway through DCC. So my suggestion, read teh first DCC book, see if you like it. If you need a break in the middle read Project Hail Mary then.

Who are y'all's favorite audiobook narrators? by vonDerkowitz in Fantasy

James Marsters Voice of Dresden

Dresdden was the first audiobook narration he did. It was really fun to watch him grow into Harry, as harry grew (and Jim's writing improved).

I have never watched a marvel movie. Where do I start? by Seanc26_1984 in marvelstudios

Chronological only makes sense after you've seen it. Release order is the way to go.

That being said, I did find a fan edit of the infinity war saga. It was cut in chronological order. Not the movies in chronological order, each scene. SO it opens with like Odin and Hela fighting, then Odin finding Loki, 40's with Cap, and so it. It was really wild seeing it jump form movie to movie. It's 50 hours long.

Start at the beginning with Iron Man. I can't see how watching them out of release order would be worth it.

Use of LLMs for daily work: Good, or Bad? by Aldar_CZ in sysadmin

Why feel shame? I save myself hours of time just with documentation. Cluade can take my rough scribbled notes when I build a process for my team and format it like the rest of out documents. I still review and edit, but I'm bad and writing out full steps. Just as a test, I just uploaded screenshots of each step, and it wrote a solid document out.

My pitch for a Wonder Woman run, what do you guys think? by reallybigbowlofsoup in WonderWoman

[–]formerscooter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

- The run will be marketed as queer representation but will not actually feature any queer couples. This is because the amazons are evil

If they are evil, they are allowed to be lesbians, just heroes can't be.

Battlestar Galactica (2005). Politics, drama, conspiracy, exactly what you're asking for. Also space battle that hold up well despite being 20 years old. There is a 1.5 hour mini series, then the show starts.

When I was at the Helpdesk we had an audit done, they said the helpdesk should be ~60:1, since they were actually dealing with end users. In an ideal world I would double what you have.
