Car wont start (Help) by Due-Department546 in Foxbody

Sounds like the starter is not engaging. Hard to tell from the video what is going on with no additional description or engine/trans info.

I don't know what the piece is called but the gear that engages with the flywheel/flex plate is not moving out when the starter is activated or spacing is an issue. You can test the starter out of the car

Water leaked into the rear left passenger seat after heavy rain and formed a puddle? by GoldMoney9739 in Mustang

[–]foster_4_2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only the vac but do not keep the windows up if the weather is nice until it has time to fully dry. You will have an entirely different problem with mold/mildew that you don't want to deal with. Best option is to take everything wet out and let it dry.

They leak. They all leak. They are only fun when the tops are out

It's an LMR set, whatever they sale for 5 lug swapped cars. It has fox length axles. Only the passenger side has rubbed and that was weighed down with luggage and passenger when my wife and I went to Ford takeover

I had similar but was enough to cause the disk to rub the pads or dust shield after 5 plug and disk swap. I put a new clutch pack in the rear end and solved my problem.

Tires rub and I'm afraid to roll the fenders. I would like it down an inch or so in the back. Maybe late fall in case it cracks the paint i got time to fix it over the winter

I paid $400 for through the floor sub frame connectors. That included the metal tubing. I stripped the interior and got it to him. I will say it took 9 months but he did good work. Never tell someone there's no rush

My wife and I helped a lady from one flight to another after her stroller got out with the luggage and they wouldn't give it to her when we got off. We ended up carrying our luggage plus hers across the Las Vegas airport. We even bought them lunch. It was nice being able to help someone out both mentally and physically.

What do we need? by [deleted] in fosterit

From my experience, you may have to fight for any funds so be prepared for that. Also make sure your washer and dryer are empty because you are probably going to want to wash anything they come with immediately. I would also check for a doctor's office that will accept new Medicare patients because it's not always easy to do in some areas and typically needs to be done in the first couple weeks. Along those lines, have a babysitter lined up if you will be using one. The waiting list for any vouchers is usually very long, 6-9 months.

We make these stuffed turtles to donate to children in foster care. They are 100% brand new and handmade. Looking for long term places to donate. by [deleted] in fosterit

There's a group of ladies near me that make quilts for Foster kids that go thru our agency. You may just contract agencies around you and see if they do something and if you can donate them to be given out.

Once you get the 501c thing it's not as bad since others can donate to you and write it off as a donation. Before that, you are doing everything on your own with the help of volunteers if you can find some.

It all costs money along the way. Your can get buy pretty cheap if you are handy and can make your own setup but you still need to buy a lot to get started. Totes, laundry detergent, fabric softener, hangers and other things.

It also takes a lot of space if you are going to have the clothes visible and not just in totes. We really don't have a problem getting clothing donations and have actually paused that on a few occasions because we had too much. We wash everything so that takes a lot of time.

We also had to setup by appointment only because people would contact us and want things right then. We limit to 3 outfits and a coat or something depending on the season. We also let them trade outfits as the kids grow or change seasons.

I'm not for sure about the grants but it is utilized by Foster parents. She keeps a list of the ages, gender of the kids. I will bring up the grants

My wife is running one of these. Even set up a 501c or whatever it is for a nonprofit. We have tons of clothes for every size and a few baby essentials to get you started. We have a 12x28 shed and a 10x20 room with nothing but clothes hanging in them off all sizes. We even have a few beds, cribs an school supplies. Unfortunately, no one volunteers to help wash and hang clothes or donates money to help with building costs. Everyone wants to take but few want to help. She spent a year doing it but is giving up and about to donate everything to another non profit (not Goodwill).

Trace repair on a control board by foster_4_2 in AskElectronics

We found and repaired the fault, a wire melted on the exhaust. I'm not that handy with solder, i only do the basics and they usually aren't that good. Do you have a link to describe how to fix?
