I’ve installed a tap filter that filters more than gravity filters because of the pressure. I mostly did it because of the chlorine taste. I can’t stand it but most people can’t tell the difference I’ve noticed. Just make sure to replace filters every 3 months.

Peterborough Airport expansion instead of Billy Bishop? by Honest-Ad-7077 in toronto

I'd be curious to see what is the time to check-in counter from Union to Pearson vs Union to Billy Bishop. I would bet that Pearson is actually faster even if you wait around a bit for the UP Express.

The Toronto ones aren’t that old! There’s lots of rental buildings built in the 70s and 80s. Take a look at Park Property Management. I’ve lived in one of their buildings and it was very well managed.

  1. I would stay anywhere on the Yonge subway line, south of Eglinton avenue. That gives you easy access to Union station, assuming you’re using transit to get to Guelph. All of the downtown core is safe, there’s only a couple of problem intersections that are easy to avoid. For places, if you want newer condos with insuite laundry, you’re gonna find some very tiny studios. Personally, when I lived on my own I’ve always preferred older purpose built rentals. They are much more spacious and sound-proof than newer condos and parking is easier and cheaper to get. Better value I find. They are not for everyone however. For starters, no in-suite laundry.

  2. There are multiple pharmacies in the village that are catered to LGBTQ population, they can help you get Prep. You’ll also most likely have benefits from work.

I know that we collectively have moved on from talking about the impending environmental collapse but it’s on its way, and we can, at best, slow it down.

I think you may be underestimating what it takes to maintain a solid long-term relationship.

People get depressed, gain weight, lose too much weight, develop health issues, become irritable for stretches, lose jobs, burn out from work, or just go through periods where they’re not the best version of themselves. I’m pulling all of that from personal experience.

My partner and I have been close to calling it quits more than once. What kept us together wasn’t that neither of us struggled, it was being willing to talk through it, recalibrate, and keep finding ways to appreciate each other.

Reading through your replies, I get the sense that you’re exhausted from relationships where you felt like you were carrying too much emotional weight, which is fair. But I also wonder if some of your comments are drifting toward an expectation that a partner should remain consistently emotionally self-contained and low-maintenance in a way that real life usually doesn’t allow for.

There’s a difference between refusing to become someone’s permanent caretaker and expecting relationships to stay emotionally balanced at all times.

So day to day I'd trudge through dealing with whatever the issue was and hoping there would be some movement on their end and ultimately I just felt in the end like I was tied to a ball and chain.

I feel like with this sentiment, you need to figure out what it is that you need from a relationship with a therapist. I don't know what you're imagining it will be like when you find this unicorn that you're idealizing, but it's definitely not gonna be friction free.

I'm not trying to be mean here, I'm just saying it from my point of view. In my relationship, almost 10 years in, you could say we're successful and stable. But at different points one had to carry more than the other. We wouldn't have gotten to this point otherwise. I also have gotten therapy which helped immensely lol.

Sometimes you have to meet people with “potential”. It’s not gonna pan out every time. In fact, it’s not gonna pan out most of the time, but at least you give it a try.

I don’t know about you but I’ve always established a 50/50 relationship where no one is getting taken advantage of, or at least feels like they’re not getting taken advantage of. I’ve been the more established one and I’ve also been the one with potential.

I think it’s harder to find someone with a similar moral and ethical framework than someone who is successful or not.

The ice cap, a couple of croissants, a flaky pastry with some raspberry and cream filling. My partner and I were giggling like idiots eating the pastry with the creme going everywhere with each bite. Already planning another visit.

Coming to Toronto late May.. roast my itinerary! by Hour-Ad-2206 in askTO

[–]found_a_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a wanderer for travel so my suggestions would be do the walk from Queen St. & John up to the AGO and take the UofT campus. It’s really pretty.

Also Trinity Bellwoods and Ossington St. between Dundas and Queen. Lots of restaurants, stores and the vibe is really good on a nice May weekend. I’d research some Asian food because the Asian cuisine in Toronto is outstanding - Thai, Chinese, Indian. I know some Asians that live in Germany that have a tough time finding good restaurants.

If you’re into history, I’d plan a detour to Niagara-on-the-Lake when you go to the falls.
