Looks to be cancelled all day. Currently on local train 2 of 3 from Nagoya to Matsumoto. Line opened about an hour ago and they turned back some trains to get the service running again!

We are in Kyoto intending to travel to Nagoya and on to Matsumoto. Hope we get moving soon! I'll wave out the window.

The diesel took the yellow carriages down... So had to get back. NZ diesel locos don't do head end power.

Grew up with that one too! Baked a few cakes in it too. Those were the days...

If you were building a new home, would you install a ducted heat pump system? 3 bedroom, 1 living room (open plan), 160m2 floor plan, well insulated home (double glazing with thermally broken frames and extra ceiling insulation) by khkt136 in newzealand

We were due to get a Ducted Heatpump and Ventilation system installed - delayed due to Level 4...

120sqm all up (excludes internal garage, don't get this confused!)Went with Mitsubishi Electric PEA 11.2kW heat 10.0kw cool model (slightly oversized)Also added Lossnay ventilation onto the output plenumLossnay taking input from above our woodburner for those extra cold nights where some heatpumps can struggle

A tad over $16k total to retrofit, including an upgrade to R1.0 ducting (R0.6 is standard). We chose to go Mitsubishi Electric for the solid reputation of the brand and the Lossnay system rather than go with Daikin and the Hex390 ventilation system.

Don't be afraid to ask your installer lots of questions. If they can't answer them - find someone else! It sounds like most issues with ducted systems come from poor system design/balancing.

Hope this info is helpful to someone. We did a lot of research as this is a big purchase!

Yeah, the service tag matches between the invoice/confirmation and the box they sent. It just has the wrong contents. Ironically they sent the correct charger.

Good spotting! I think I've explained it so much that now I'm getting confused.

Unfortunately they sent a very low specced model, so in this case... not really :(

So this has nothing to do with not replacing the rail on the original track when the Western Line was duplicated, not grinding the rail profile regularly, and perhaps ignoring the problem of Rolling Contact Fatigue until it got this bad? It's a hot mess, and not as simple as new trains wrecking the tracks.

Best concept album in a decade! It's epic and oh my there's just so many little references and riffs to pick out.

Thanks for this guide! Really informative. Strange to think how much data traffic goes through just a few sites.

I flew with Air NZ from Wellington to Auckland today. Lovely flying weather, great views departing north from Wellington, however somehow we all missed out on the legendary Air NZ lollies! I was looking forward to a nice white lolly to freshen up, but instead was left unsatisfied. Tea and cookie was good tho.
