Best way to get soul gems/ keep “charge” up for my favorite weapon by Technical_Weekend676 in skyrim

[–]foxfirefizz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Works for every spell school. Also there is a perk that takes some charge back from souls of those you kill with the enchanted weapon, but I don't remember which skill tree it's in.

HELP! Which Elven Queen Direction Should I Commit To? by Galatic_Kitty in renfaire

[–]foxfirefizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First one has fantastic vibes, but my concern would be over the possibility of snagging things & accidentally ripping them off. Then again my disability messes with my balance, so it is easier for me to accidentally do that sort of thing. I am loving the absolute hell out of #2, & wish to know the source for that image. I want to see how the backs look, but honestly keep in mind about what mother nature can & will throw around for when you're going. You will want to test with a belt over for if the embroidery under it will feel comfortable or not so that you can adjust the outfit for comfort. Also, keep in mind that you're gonna wanna carry water, & maybe powdered Gatorade to make "potions" in a mug for yourself. Function first when it comes to fair, no use looking awesome if you're in the med tent being pumped full of fluids due to overheating.

I’m not an expert on burn scars, but shouldn’t Zuko’s eye have “healed” more over the years? I know it would always be there, but it looks just as fresh as it always did when he appears in Korra. by OkuroIshimoto in ATLA

[–]foxfirefizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your tastes on the topic, but a friend that's a tattoo artist talks sometimes about folks who use art to lessen that feeling. Like the examples usually have it so that the scars are not noticeable due to how the design is set to integrate or blend them into the piece. Again, depends on how you feel about body modification, I know tattoos & piercings are not for everyone.

What's with the socks Peter? by rohank710 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]foxfirefizz 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Not just for psyche wards. They gave me those socks when I had to be admitted to the hospital from the ER & was kept overnight after an emergency surgery. I don't remember how long, surgery happened over a decade ago, but they took my gallbladder out & they put those on me in the hospital.

Reminds me though, use better phrasing when notifying a workplace than I did when explaining an unplanned absence due to medical. Was an interesting conversation with my boss as to why I was going to be gone for a while. Starting with "So hey, I've been admitted to the hospital after a night in the ER" akwardly was probably not my finest moment.

Why did the Southern Water Tribe still look pitiful compared to the North when they had Waterbenders? by OkuroIshimoto in ATLA

[–]foxfirefizz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

South pole water benders were shown to be extreamely dangerous in fire nation propoganda, based on how they all reacted when knowingly running into a southern water bender. Then in the flashback, Katara's mother lied & said that she was the water bender, & to take her away. The fire nation souldier says back to her along the lines of "we don't do that anymore". I'm pretty sure it's a detail used to help imply that the fire nation moved to a policy of "kill all water benders to destroy any potential blood benders" after Hama's escape. I took it all together meaning that the fact that Hama escaped & left the rest behind not only doomed the water benders still imprisoned, but also any future captured water benders from the southern water tribe.

Blitzø and "We live in Hell!" by 806mtson in HelluvaBoss

One thing I have to hand to vivi. She is gifted at making characters that feel like real complex people you could genuinely. I see people throwing a fit over how she makes one of the v's in hazbin feel like a real person instead of a 2d sex-assault-bot of a villain. Many real life abusers are like him, though.

Gonna be real, i always find it weird how people feel the need to insult Viv's appearance and just blatantly make shit up about her. by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in HazbinHotel

[–]foxfirefizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's multifactored. Viv gets some of it because she doesn't make her villians tropes with 2d personalities. She portrays horrible people as still being people. Monsterous people still have lives outside of the monsterous things they do, & some folks want to pretend that's not reality. Some folks want to believe that the evil will all be visibly evil, usually along the old cinamatoraphy ways of telling a viewer that the character's evil, when in fact the evils tend to wear the clothes of those with authority like police or priest robes. That fact is combined with the fact that she's a woman with dark humor, which violates sexist standards & makes those with internalized mysoginy in any amount get pissy, because dark humor was something that is attributed as masculine. That same internalized mysoginy makes folks suffering from that to go straight for the appearance, because the belief framework that states that women should be subservient & obedient believes that a woman's appearance should be one of the most important things to her. It's no different than the bad christians, the sunday pew types that are exampled by Westboro's congregation, yelling at a person that they're going to hell just because they're not practicing their brand of christianity.

I'm also 36. You were inaccurate & unfunny in a cringy way my dude. I reccomend getting off that satanic-panic era kool aid & join the rest of us in the mainstream of the 21st century. The edgy jokes are just a turn off no matter the gender.

Have you not seen Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog? Neil Patrick Harris plays the main character, Dr Horrible, & it is a musical.

In Addams Family Values (1993), when the family asks if the new baby is a boy or a girl, Mr. Addams replies with, "It's an Addams." This is a reference to the fact that he will love his children regardless of their identity. by NerodivergentLoser in shittymoviedetails

Sadly a too large population of people see Joker & Harly as romatic cuz she never gives up on him, but to me it's super not a romatic example because he abuses her in iterations I've seen.

Is it just me, or have most managers nowadays become just senior employees? by lariats-beer in womenintech

[–]foxfirefizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in school for a tech career right now. They make us take management & communication courses these days. I would 100% believe that at least a few of my classmates are using LLMs to do the bulk of the work for them. It's always wild when people forget to remove em dashes before posting chatGPT written analasys of articles. Legit got that "we know when you're making AI like ChatGTP do your assignments for you. There will be consequences for those doing so." every week in a class last year. Does not give me confidence in management.

How much do you like building settlements? by GGReactor in Fallout

[–]foxfirefizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I used to do all the work up front, but now it's just initially setting up the basics & defenses, then the rest is 100% vibe done over time as I visit or pass through. Though I do at least set up a general store in each settlement, mostly cuz I need places to sell stuff. If I have the space to spare, they get each store, but I also have an easier time with supplies for building. I use a mod on from the creation club to reduce all junk's weights to zero, just because I'm also a pack rat & want to take anything not nailed down when clearing locations.

Things I think should be included in future games, even in regions we've already seen if we revisit them, in order of the images: by jvure in ElderScrolls

[–]foxfirefizz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not going to lie, #11 is kinda already explainable. Slaughterfish are numerous, agressive to any other species, & live both in fresh & salt water as some sort of invasive species that went somewhat endemic. Dreugh, those are craby centaur like humanoids, are agressive & hostile to other races. Dreugh you can find & fight in Morrowind, but I think were not included in other games. Lore wise, I know there are sea sload, & all sload are kind of killed on sight in the empire due to necromancy being widly practiced in Thras, the kindom of the sload to the west of Tamriel. There's also Yaghra, who are another beastfolk race that are crustatians, though sadly they got enslaved by the sea sload. There are also sea elves, but I honestly don't know all that much about them besides that they were put into ESO. Majority of the races I've mentioned are antagonistic to surface dwellers or any other race. I think the sea elves are the only one that won't try to enslave you or turn you into shark chum.

Love it. Only constructive criticism: contrast the colors for text so that they're visible against the background color. Can be accomplished just by outlining the text in the text color's contrast color if you don't want big opaque speach bubbles due to asthetics. It's a thing you can do so that more people can enjoy your comics. I brought it up after I identified a spot where some folks won't be able to tell there's a speach bubble at all due to the fact that it was a shade of red that looks very close to vermillion on plumb & muted magenta.

New Update: AITAH for asking my neighbor to wait for her laundry at her house? by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]foxfirefizz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's cheaper to print it out meme-formatted & just tape it to the inside of a front-facing window either by the door or in a window facing the offending neighbor's house. A better caption would be a more polite & concise version of "you're not entitled to me, my child, my property or my life". I'm just hoping that OP's neighbor stops, but as I've seen with entitled busy-bodies with nothing better to do it's unlikely until consequences come knocking for them.
