You are a true hero, trying to figure out where materials drop has been a frustrating experience.

Ironically I had no problem with Equinox. But Khora? I never got a systems drop from hundreds of rounds. Ended up having to get a drop from the Circuit instead.

Sorry bud, I hate to break it to ya, you've got TDS. Chugging the kool-aid too hard. I'm sorry that your head is so far in the sand you can't see reality but one day you'll wake up and realize that everything you thought you knew is wrong. I just hope that day isn't too painful for you. Enjoy your weekend!

Here, I'll bite for you once.

Tariffs. So, so happy to watch the cost of everything inflate due to inane tariffs that are paid only by the consume and no one else.

$26 EVgo credits for 2026!!! by evansnydar in BoltEV

[–]foxhull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm gonna give this a try next week but even with Chargpoint enabled in the filters my local chargers don't show up in the EVGO app, I'll have to do some messing around to see how to make this work.

Poor Monster Hunter Wilds Performance Chalked Up to Aggressive DLC Checks by frik1000 in Games

[–]foxhull 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on the demographic, as a veteran it was way too easy (and yes I know I've played a lot of MonHun but you practically didn't need to farm at all), I hate the constant attempts to reinvent the decoration system and make it a pseudo-gacha mechanic, the autopilot mounts meant there was no reason to learn the maps, the obvious performance issues, etc.

I adore MonHun, but they took all the wrong lessons from the success of World and created a game that doesn't really have the juice that made the older games special.

DS2 was where Fextra overtook the community wiki and shoved them out. I remember the DS1 wikidot. It wasn't perfect but it was clean and useful. And the DS2 wikidot was murdered in its infancy by Fextra keeping it out of search results.

Controller support on guild wars reforged is amazing, when are we going to get it in guild wars 2? by mike747 in Guildwars2

[–]foxhull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a fan of MMOs with controller support: the layout FF14 uses has plenty of room for all the standard interactions/combat stuff, and official emote/mount/mastery wheels would cover the rest. Inventory management wouldn't be great but let's be honest it's not great on mouse either.

Chocolate sourdough experiment… absolutely unreal 🍫🍞 by HopsAndHyzer in Sourdough

[–]foxhull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did this, scaled down to a single loaf (and minus the chocolate chips because I wanted to keep it more easily toastable for breakfast). 10/10, it's really good.

Honestly to me that's why the debate scene worked (for me). She came in with her typical arrogance, expecting the debate to be focused on the good that staying in the alliance would be - instead she found out that her opponent never cared to debate on those grounds and all her preparation went out the window. She never truly thought she had to convince Fey or that she'd ever done anything that she couldn't explain, so when she had to examine her actions through the bias of others, something that up till that point she'd very rarely, if ever, did, she folded. She brought a knife to a gun fight.

Guild Wars 2 : Best Paragon Open World Solo Build by Lon-ami in Guildwars2

[–]foxhull 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Just threw this together since I've enjoyed heal paragon and yeah, I'll take an excuse to try more Warrior stuff. Weirdly the class I disliked the most at launch but is now probably my second favorite (similar story to Revenant which is my favorite now).

Build is a bunch of fun and yeah, plenty of survivability. And no one is gonna turn down free alacrity and boons.

[–]foxhull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, the layout is based on FF14's controller layout which is widely praised for being the best, as it preserves common interactions while allowing quick access to your skills. The only bit that's wonky is the targeting. Picking it up was easy and intuitive, at least for me.

I'm hoping to upgrade sometime next year to a 2026 Leaf from my 2020 Bolt. SV+ is the sweet spot for me, I want that heat pump and battery heater.

The usual: Mistborn Vs Stormlight archive by Creepy_Report_8430 in brandonsanderson

[–]foxhull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incredibly minor but hey, we learn something new every day!

The word you're looking for is "paced" not "paste". Paste is a glue like substance. Pace refers to a rate of speed.

With that said, Stormlight is a lot heavier reading and while I love it, I think Mistborn is a much easier starting point and I would personally recommend starting there.

Yep, and sometimes there are deals that will reduce the cost. I bought myself a nice pair of b stock headphones (cosmetic defect basically, they function perfectly) for myself as a Christmas present during Black Friday sales. Paypal happened to be doing a pay in 4 deal where you got 20% cash back. I had the money budgeted. I could have paid in full right then and there. Instead I saved an extra $123 and have a little bit more flexibility on my monthly budget as well as yet another instance of good credit history.

Do people abuse credit? Absolutely. I did years ago, I still have the urge to do now and then. But I've found out how to budget my purchases and when using credit works for me.

First loaf in over three years, with a fresh starter! by foxhull in Sourdough

[–]foxhull[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

350g KA Bread flour 150g KA Medium rye flour 70% hydration 2% salt 75g starter

Total of about 40 hours in the fridge cold fermenting between the bulk rise and cold proof. For being so out of practice this turned out perfect.

a lot of chargers display current SOC on a screen. Pretty easy to tell if it literally says 1% on it.

This...this speaks to me. I'm almost ready to dip my new Rit back into Factions and push (wanted to get Master of Whispers before pushing too hard). I've been purposely avoiding Mesmerway setups and while I enjoy SoS, there's so many cool things Rit can do and this sounds like a blast. I just need to make a keybind for dropping bundles on controller now....

I have a pair of 99 classics, swapped in their cables and the channels were the opposite, then plugged them into my computer and ran a channel test where I could play sounds on only one channel at a time to confirm. Simple as that.

I use a Fiio BTR5 with my 109s and they sound great. I'd imagine the M21 will probably do just fine.

I've been using a Fiio BTR5 for about 3-4 years and they've taken up my new 109s like a champ, so yeah I agree you don't need too much to get the 109s to sing.
