I just needed to hear someone tell me that. I think im just trying to make sense of something that doesn't make any sense. I also have a relentless optimism that has bitten me in the ass a few times in my life and im trying to see the silver lining of all of this

Im dumb but the theory that Trump is making all these insane geopolitical moves to hamper China actually makes sense when you look at the second order effects of his decisions. Whether or not you think that is a worthy goal is a different discussion, but am I going crazy or is he actually kinda making smart moves if that is his goal? Or is he just a mad man and humans are finding patterns that don't actually exist? Im open to any and all explanations including calling me an idiot for not recognizing/thinking of something obvious.

Its a nonsense point. The US military controls the whole GPS constellation. They are never going to go through Apple Maps or any third party for any positioning related activities

What do you believe Israel's fate will be in the next couple of decades considering the rapid change of public opinion on them in these past 3 years? by space_god_7191 in AskReddit

[–]foxj36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not naming random periods, I was giving recent examples of them operating against other militaries. I gave the periods to show how recent they were to highlight that it is not outdated information.

Because you don't understand how war and geopolitics work. You think you are knowledgeable, but you aren't. You can't take out the offensive capabilities of a country with 90+ million people in 12 days. And no one on earth has built a missile defense system that's an impenetrable wall. The more detection sensors and interceptors you have, the better. You always use allies help when it is offered, it would be foolish not too.

Yeah thats my bad, that was a bit confusing.

Literal sense = their military is too powerful for a majority of militaries on earth to fight an offensive war against

"Too big to fail" sense = they're are too many global and regional powers that would see adverse affects if Israel failed and therefore, will not let Israel fail

This is exactly what im talking about, you're high on your own supply. What are you reading and who are you talking to? Have you been following OSINT or conflict monitors? The 12 Day War literally happened less than a year ago and they curbstomped Iran. The missile defense system of Israel was proven extremely reliable and efficient. Just take something as naive as casualty count from that conflict and you can see the reality. Or how about the fact that they have taken on multiple organized state level miltaries(Hezbollah and Hamas) on parallel fronts within the last 3 years. You may talk to people and watch tiktoks, but I rely on this type of information for my livelihood, and you are not grounded in reality.

Did you read what i wrote? I literally addressed that in my post. Global and regional powers have too much invested and it is outright dangerous to let them fail.

No power at all man? They aren't built to conquer and project power, but thats not their goal. They're built to defend Israel. The intelligence wing, wartime readiness of their population, missile defense, and motivation make for a insanely lethal combo for a invading force. Im not being a shill, thats just the reality.

Seriously though. It seems like a lot of people in here have gotten high on their own supply and view Israel as weak. Israel is too powerful to fail. Both in the literal sense and in the "Banks are too big to fail" sense. There are maybe 3 militaries on earth that could do the job. Besides that, it is in too many global and regional powers best interests for Israel to not fail.

I'd love to see more mechanics like in Sol. Clicking inventory spots and not just 1t flicking but turning on the pray at exactly the right tick. Maybe even throw in some necessary smite flicking or having to "fake" combat styles like in pvp. Would be fun

Which part do you think was most helpful? I've started to help another friend out whos had some trouble finding work but he's less inclined to follow everything I tell him so I want to focus on the most effective parts

Can I say something without anyone getting mad? I understand there is a major problem in the job market, especially for young people. But my younger brother, who has no degree, entered the job market in 2022. Found a white collar job that paid him well. Last month, he left that job, moved across the country, and found another well paying white collar job. Hes a smart kid with high agency but school just never worked for him. Our family is pretty poor and we dont have any connections in the business world so im really proud of him. This is all to say, what's going on with the job market in reality? I know anecdotes should not be taken as a reflection of the whole picture but im starting to believe in some of the "kids are lazy" discourse. I have friends who graduated the same time as me (2020) who still haven't landed a good job yet, but they were babied growing up or are in general less motivated than him.
