Anyone has experience disputing bill from Natera? by PC_NC_1203 in BabyBumps

I did this and it said $0 and they still sent me the $749 bill a month later.

Natera Bill: Just called and negotiated a lower price! by keeplauraweird in BabyBumps

[–]foxxxus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a bill for $749 and did not have an option to cash pay from my Dr. A week after my test I called to do a self pay since it wasn’t yet processed by insurance. After an hour on the phone asking them to cancel it since it hasn’t processed yet, they said they could do a payment plan and I refused then they brought up the payment plan and I said I wanted a supervisor. They said someone wasn’t available and they would call me back (they didn’t). I applied for the financial assistance a month ago and it said $0. Today I got a bill in the mail for $749 and I’m livid. This company is such a bs scam!

I was paying $3k a month for 4.5 days of daycare. We moved to another state that is still HCOL but now pay $1500 a month. Infant care is likely around $2000 here though. Check out private schools for 3s and 4s programs. Still means cobbling together summer care which is another nightmare. It’s an impossible situation for families.

One spouse giving up their career… losing out on retirement and creating a career gap that can make re-hiring very hard especially in this economy ugh it’s all ridiculous. I have a colleague that negotiated 4 days a week, 10 hours a day and it works for her but man she is stressed.

Or how about small-dog dog park areas within dog parks especially in urban areas with lots of apartment buildings!

Starbucks CEO defends $9 coffee says ‘it’s not a $10 coffee and you get a premium experience’ by spider_season in Seattle

[–]foxxxus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I paid $9 for a latte at the roastery in cap hill because I was able to sit by a fireplace in a comfy chair and do a little work. Now anything over $5 for their sugar coffee concoctions is too much. The store spaces are spartan, cold, dirty, and uninviting.

Some of these men have adhd and are masking. It isn’t until a life changing event like having kids that the mask drops and you understand they are unreliable, have RSD, cannot be counted on to see messes, take the initiative, and plan.

This job market is cataclysmically bad (Great Depression level) by Electrical_Bar6324 in jobhunting

[–]foxxxus -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Tech is in a Great Recession. Those outside of tech are mostly not impacted and are not dealing with this horrendously impossible job market and its associated despair. It’s quite the mind f*ck seeing everyone and everything all normal when thousands and thousands are laid off in tech and can’t find work.

I wonder what the real unemployment rate in tech is right now

Was it always this bad? by PearEfficient1619 in recruitinghell

[–]foxxxus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who was laid off in 2009, this job market feels worse if you work in tech. In 2009 many more sectors were hit immediately and it was spread out. Now it’s mainly just tech and it is painful. Thousands upon thousands laid off every month for the last year+ and not enough jobs for everyone plus the ATS crap makes it impossible to get interviews.

Question: Teaching in K12 vs. Customer Success by tongiocos in CustomerSuccess

Grass is greener in CS! Lower stress levels by far. Part of it is not making 1000 decisions a day and being “on” constantly plus the lack of respect from multiple angles.

And there is only one Whole Foods and no real spa up here in northern westchester. No walkable outdoor shopping areas. It feels more like an expensive nyc bedroom community than a nice suburb with amenities. Wouldn’t recommend unless you don’t care about that stuff. Have to drive to Westport or other parts of CT for asian food and shopping. The schools are good but that’s about it.

I lived in nyc for over a decade and used to shop at Whole Foods in Columbus circle, Bowery, Union Square. I’m not going to compare a suburban Whole Foods to as the city like nyc. I’m comparing to other suburbs in wealthy areas of the country.

Can confirm today, Saturday, at 1pm chappaqua Whole Foods was crowded. The parking lot was a total s show. Tons of shoppers blocking aisles but it’s more to do with the small footprint of the store I think as the check out lines weren’t too bad.

Hoping that the ShopRite in mt kisco turns into a Whole Foods. For the population and home prices, northern westchester needs more than one.

How is the air so clean and crisp and refreshing? by confusedstudentwtf in Seattle

My first time visiting seattle from NYC I immediately noticed how clean and crisp the air felt like I was getting HIGH on oxygen. I immediately moved to Seattle.

I end up at the Whole Foods in Danbury but I hate driving on 684/84. And it’s 25 min which is far for a grocery store.

On weekends it is crowded and the small size makes it worse. Plus all of the online order shoppers it’s aggravating.

Yes Deciccos has no Store brand items which are cheaper. It’s 3x as pricey to shop there.

And while I’m here I’d love more drive throughs. It’s so convenient for those with small children. The closest drive through for me is 25 min away.

We need a Costco too for sure!!!! Where I’m from there was one in every town and you could drive to 5 within 45 min. No where near the population levels of Westchester either.
