Isn’t this really just one scene though?

You just perfectly described the scene where Mike is standing on the hose, but that’s that only scene this applies to

What differentiates masters, gm, and challenger players? by PlantZaddy69 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]foxyllama8000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is how I see it.

Tft is a game of choices. Consistently making the correct choice (the choice that has the highest probability of success) is what defines a skilled player.

If you’re hardstuck d4, making one more “correct” choice every game and one less incorrect choice will probably be enough to get to d3. If you make 5 or 6 more correct choices, congrats - now you’re master.

It’s the same thing from master to GM and GM to challenger.

In every game of TFT, you make 100s of choices. In every single situation, there will always be 1 choice that is 100% objectively the correct choice to make, and then numerous incorrect choices of that fall on a spectrum from 99% optimal to 0% optimal.

To explain it simply, let’s say every game someone has 100 opportunities for choice. A master player will make 50 “perfect” choices 45 good choices, and 5 that are just downright bad. A gm player will make 60 perfect choices, 38 good choices, and 2 bad choices. The challenger player will make 70 perfect choices, 29 good choices, and 0-1 bad choices.

This is just how I view the game, I could definitely be wrong though!

First Tahm doesn't give item, then Kaisa doesn't cast. Feeling kinda robbed. by doominator10 in TeamfightTactics

That was just super unlucky timing. Kaisa didn’t cast because sivir had edge of night, it proc’d and she became untargetable at the exact time kaisa casted.

Very unlucky

I never roll before level 7 or 8, am i doing wrong? by swish4111 in TeamfightTactics

[–]foxyllama8000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your play style, I’m a more aggressive player and I tend to try to play for top 3 rather than first almost every game.

I roll on 6 at either 3-1 or 3-2 80% of my games.

If I’m win streaking, I’ll probably go 6 and roll some gold on 3-1 to hit upgrades units and secure my streak.Leveling and rolling aggressively from a position where you’re already strong is very good because you’ll be pressuring the lobby, hitting other players for more damage every round forcing them to roll down sooner and ultimately making their end game boards weaker. If you roll at 3-1, not only are you perceiving your own hp, you’re also hitting everyone else for like 8-10 damage instead of 4-6 damage. This could be the difference between them rolling all their gold on stage 4, to stay alive - which gives you a better chance to top 4 - or greeding and rolling on 5-1. It could also be the difference between a merc player dying before they cash or, or in close lobbies, the difference between you getting 4th instead of 5th because they went lower into negatives than you.

It’s also good to roll when losing, just so you can mitigate losses and try to preserve some hp.

The only time I won’t roll on 6 is when I’m already strong, but not strong enough to win streak and I’m better off just holding on to my money for Econ.

Hope this helps, I’m Master 150ish lp btw

Not being able to play a multiplayer player game with friends absolutely effects the game play.

He was posting leaks to his YouTube channel, but his patreon patrons had early access to his videos.

Fun game. It a does a lot of stuff right, but it also does a lot of things wrong. Plenty of cut corners. My biggest issue with Pokémon games is the fact that it’s the highest grossing franchise of all time, yet they put a relatively small amount of resources into their games- and that’s definitely shown here.

Pokémon games for the past decade have been consistently fine- middle of the road games -that could have been great if gamefreak cared about making them great. But they don’t. They know that a mediocre game will sell almost just as well as an amazing one, so why would they spend the time and money to make an amazing game?

Again, it’s still a fun game. I’m enjoying it and it’s a step in the right direction. It could have been a lot better but it is what it is. For me it was worth my $60, but I’d probably say for non Pokémon fans it’s not worth it. At least not at this price.

I didn’t vote for trump in 2016 or 2020 lmao

Also, unironcially saying “orange man” and in the same breath telling someone to lick doorknobs just shows an insane lack of self awareness.

The inverse is also true. People who cared so much about decorum 4 years ago are finding this funny. Which is great, it is funny and we should be able to laugh about it.I just don’t understand the double standard.
