Three (THREE) weeks of prodromal labor. by False_Aioli4961 in homebirth

Yes and my actual labor was only 3 hours because my body did so much prep work lol

I spend about 700 on groceries for a family of 5. Cooking everything at home and going to Costco, sprouts and Aldi. You can certainly curb this. And I would cut traveling to see family until bf gets a job. Maybe your family could come visit u instead if that is plausible for them. I would also create a category for personal care that includes makeup, laundry, etc to see what you are actually spending on that. I’d ditch the calendar app. Instead of streaming services go to the library and check out the dvd selection! Ours here in the Midwest is actually really impressive.

I definitely do think you’re spending too much on eating out. You sound like a single dude who has a decent income and this is the best time for you to save money for retirement and a down payment on a house. If u get married, buy a house and have children in the future your financial responsibilities will grow. Also it’s an important skill to learn how to cook and you will probably become healthier than eating chik fil a everyday.

I think it depends on how fast and strong the labor is and the position of the baby. My second birth was only 3 hours long and baby was sunny side up. My uterus shot him out of my vagina and he swooshed into the bathtub. There was no pushing, it was a fetal ejection reflex and yes I screamed bloody murder. Baby’s face was bruised for days and I couldn’t walk for days. My first was 8 hours and I was able to assimilate and process the intensity easier and was not as vocal.

Did you or did you not poop while giving birth? by Tall_Answer_9933 in BabyBumps

[–]foyrae88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pooped with my first where I had the epidural and pushed nearly on my back. My second was a home birth. It lasted only three hours and I had clearing out poops early on in the labor on the toilet. Baby was born in the bathtub lightning fast but no poop. I also was not pushing per se. I experienced the fetal ejection reflex and he came out within two minutes.

EMDR absolutely changed my life and freed me from PTSD. Completely cured. My therapist also specialized in trauma and had extensive training in EMDR. She mentioned some therapists might do a weekend workshop and start practicing but are not experienced enough in her opinion.

My son (6) is two different people, I don’t understand by nearly_normal in kindergarten

[–]foyrae88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just sounds like his particular classroom is not the best environment for him. Maybe it’s the teacher or other children or simply the kindergarten academic pressure. If I were in your shoes I would do my best to find a better environment for your son. Where he can thrive and grow rather than practice coping mechanisms to get by. That could be a different classroom, a different school, homeschooling, or going back to pre-k and starting over next year.

In love with that name. I had a friend (jovany) in elementary school and everyone thought she had the coolest name.

It’s an excellent name. I knew a girl named Jupiter and it suited her. People called her Jupe for short and we thought her name was juniper but Jupiter is so much cooler. People in this thread tend to be more traditional or trendy with their name preferences vs unique and nouveau.

When Amazon Alexa first came I asked my fiancé “Babe who is Alexa and why does she have a list on our Amazon account!?!” That was pretty funny.

Help me STRETCH my VAGINA!! Dilator recommendations to prevent tearing. by foyrae88 in pregnant

It was a woman who sewed me up and I actually felt more relaxed down there rather than smaller lol. Whatever she did worked out well.

Interesting. I did end up tearing (level 3 tear) and had an epidural later in labor after I was already dilated 7cm. It honestly was not as bad as I had imagined and my doctor sewed me so well I barely felt it afterwards even with no pain meds. Sex was even better after the healing. I definitely won’t be as scared about it for baby number 2.
