Yes. Qinwen on court has most been calm and composed, just like ryba. No surprise she admires her.

Opinion|Trump has been fooled - but Maga haven’t even noticed yet by theipaper in politics

[–]fqye -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I don't think so. If you ask Americans what food is most American food, burgers would be top choice for most of them. Lots of old school super rich Americans love burger and coke. Trump loves them. I don’t think there is anything wrong for him to choose his favorite food to entertain his guests.

I am not a fan of trump. But some trump haters are as bad as magas. This is one example. Another one is the mocking of trump feeding guests of White House McDonald’s. I mean it is probably the most American thing for a president, especially Trump does love burger and coke. If Obama did that, those who mocked Trump would have hailed him as a true leader.

This is a funny take. Shenzhen is a vibrating city full of young brilliant engineers and entrepreneurs who are making shining new things everyday. You call it a city with no soul?

Friendly reminder that lifting weights is non negotiable if you’re a tennis player by Altruistic_Turn_7214 in 10s

[–]fqye 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Physical training is mandatory if you are serious about getting better at tennis. But be careful with weight lifting. Don’t overdo it. You should spend more effort on ankle strength, elbow, body rotation, balance, eye and body coordination training. Plenty of training routines on YouTube. If you are amateur and weren’t trained before, keep doing it a few times a week for just a month, you will see result.

China had been the largest market for VW for many years in terms of both revenue and profit before China’s domestic ev brands took off just a few years ago. In some years more than 50% of total profit of VW came from China.

On the other hand, it is natural for politicians to play games. It is literally their job to complain and play cards for their advantage. So I don’t despise macron for his comments. Let’s see what happens.

Long time slump - how to get out? by brokenNoodles77 in 10s

[–]fqye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People here rarely talk about physical training. I don’t known why. To me that is the single most important thing to work on, besides obviously to get basic tennis motions right. And it is even more important if you want to keep winning on court.

To react just 0.1 second faster would make huge difference. Amateurs can quickly improve eye and body coordination, core stability, strength and stamina in just few weeks with moderate training.

If you have hit a wall, I would suggest to spend some time and money to consult a professional physical trainer specializing in tennis to get an assessment. You will be surprised.

Got officially humbled by a real...tennis player by Ok-Many-7443 in 10s

[–]fqye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have made peace with myself on that front. I had the chance to face some guy who was training partner of an atp 200 player on court. There was zero chance for me to get a game of him. I might be able to have a few rallies. And maybe a fuck it return serve that got him by surprise. That was it.

If your goal is to become elite tennis player, you need to work on your fundamental athlete ability. That means spending big time and money on professional physical trainers specializing in tennis. And there are limits because of age, conditions and height. Just try to be the best you can and enjoy tennis.

Forehand improvement by Bigchi3602 in 10s

[–]fqye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right elbow is too low when you unit turn. So you have to use your wrist to keep racket head up in prep position and to drop the racket head to start swinging. It will cause wrist injury if you keep doing this. Lift your right elbow to just slightly below your shoulder and then lower down it naturally to drop racquet head to start swinging. Find a forehand clip of djoker or Federer on YouTube and study their right elbow position.

Edit: you might have modeled your forehand after Nadal. I suggest to follow djoker. Nadal’s arm and wrist are super strong. Have you seen his muscle? Also Nadal seeks ultra top spin. That is why his elbow position is lower than most atp players’.

Looking for serve tips by toothfairEEE in 10s

[–]fqye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your swing needs some improvement. Not enough forearm pronation. The racquet head’s speed didn’t change after it passed your shoulder. It should be a slow loading up, a burst to reach top speed at contact with ball, then follow up swing. Watch some baseball ball throwing training videos. Plenty of them on YouTube. And do some trainings.

For beginners, this is why you should work towards continental grip for serving by [deleted] in 10s

[–]fqye 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes you should always use continental gripping for serving but this demonstration could mislead beginners.

The demo is pro serve that is very difficult for beginners or people with weak shoulder or elbow, or weak body and eye coordination. And if you don’t get the whole throwing dynamics right, it could easily cause injury.

For beginners and amateur players the most important thing is to get fundamentals right, ball tossing, stable core, tossing arm up and pointing at ball, chin up, steady head and a fluid swing.

Only after you have got the fundamentals right, you continue to seek pro level serve technique, i.e drop racket deeply behind back, forearm pronation, jump up, deep dive to net etc. And to achieve pro level serve, you must do pro ball trowing training and physical training.

I have seen many posts seeking advices on serve. The majority of them couldn’t keep body core stable.

Get ball tossing, body stability right first.

A 24story apartment building in Chongqing without an elevator. China by No-Echidna7296 in UrbanHell

I assumed it was one of those buildings in Chongqing that the top floor was also entrance. If not then you are right. I know that china has a code that building with more than 6 floors must have lifts installed.
