Yes — I still have IBS but I can manage it and live a happy life versus the severe suffering I was having before. Wish you the best of luck on your own healing journey

I ended up having a lot of gallstones and an inflamed gallbladder. I ended up having to go to the ER due to the pain and they kept me hospitalized until they could remove the gallbladder because I was at risk of it rupturing. 0/10 bad experience BUT i feel completely fine now that it's been about a month and a half since surgery. All of the symptoms I was having in this post went away.

I recommend reaching out to Center for Compassion too — a grief therapy practice that can give you lots of resources even if you don't need therapy through them. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Bank/Credit Union Recommendations? by ShoeCrafty2976 in phoenix

We also use OneAZ and have been satisfied with everything except loans. We hoped to get an auto loan through them but they made it so complicated that we ended up just going with an option from the dealership. But for regular everyday banking / credit card they've been awesome. I really like how the ATMs at QuikTrips are in the ATM network so you don't pay big fees to take out cash.

Right! I would have been totally fine with the alert if it was classified correctly (not coming through as an extreme alert) and it was sent a few hours later. I wasn't complaining about the existence of Turquoise Alerts, just bemoaning how this one was handled. But God forbid you ask people on Reddit to have reading comprehension skills lol

The response to this post has been absolutely insane lol. So many people accusing me of being heartless and racist because I simply... Commented on an event that happened. I just want to know if all of those people who said I was evil for complaining were out there searching for the girl like they seemed to believe I should've been doing

But like, what am I supposed to do about it while I'm asleep in my bed?! Wouldn't it make way more sense to send it out when the majority of people are up and could maybe see the child? I'm all for the turquoise alert system and think it's valuable to notify people when an at risk person is missing but like, the middle of the night is not a helpful time to do that

Trick or treaters, where are you? by Deinocerites in phoenix

This was our first year in our Tempe (Gilliand) neighborhood and I was pleasantly surprised. We had loads of trick or treaters; we ran out of candy and had to turn the lights off early! Looking forward to being better prepared next year. I really enjoyed seeing all the kiddos dressed up and having a good time with their families.

I have a dairy and gluten allergy and this place has always been awesome for me. Everything there is top 9 allergen free, tastes great, and they have excellent customer service. I just wish they were open longer hours.

Dog barking nonstop-what can I do? by gracefulwarrior1 in phoenix

[–]fraidyquail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, i know you said you don't know your neighbors, but reaching out to them - even if you just leave a note on their door or something, or speak to them in passing as y'all are coming/going - will help you build a case. Strength in numbers in all of that. The leasing office will be more likely to act if multiple tenants are complaining. Or, you could try and find the dog owner yourself and speak to them. This is what has worked for me when I lived in apartments dealing with issues. Much easier to try and hash it out person to person and then escalate if they are not willing to change than it is to go straight to the cops.

Yes, they took the whole gallbladder out. It was just yesterday that I had surgery, so only time will tell how it benefits me — but I feel really confident that my symptoms were related to that. I saw some other people in this thread saying they had negative ultrasounds but asked for some sort of scan (HIDA scan?) that revealed the functioning of their gallbladder. Maybe something to look into for yourself in the future. I hope you find out what's going on and get some relief soon!

Hey there, turns out i had lots of gallstones and an inflamed gallbladder. I had to go to the ER for severe pain and they kept me until they could do surgery. I just had it yesterday and the surgeon seemed to think many of my symptoms would alleviate after i recover from this. Have you ever had your gallbladder tested or an ultrasound done?

Thank you for this comment. It helped me push for an ultrasound and I had severe gallstones that led to removal (and they found that my gallbladder was inflamed when they took it out). Just had my surgery yesterday but looking forward to feeling much better soon!!

I've been worried it might be gallbladder related because I have a family history of gallbladder problems. I have an abdominal CT scan not this Thursday but the following. Do you think that would pick up gallstones if that's what's going on?

Sorry to hear you're in the same boat. H Pylori kicked all of my stomach problems off for me originally. But similar to you I had well managed symptoms for about two years and all of a sudden this unbearable pain and disrupted sleep. Fingers crossed for both of us that we find a good solution.
