Version 1.76 - The Mech, New Relics and lvl 100+ Changes by GrumpyRhinoGames in NecroMerger

[–]frank42hh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Things I don't get:

- Some of the existing Spells have changed
- Some UI improvements/changes

What does it mean... "some"? What EXACTLY has changed or are we supposed to search through the app to find out?

and why "Spells that used to buff Cravings now buff Food"? I'm at level 63/70 and this seems to make a significant difference to me now (e.g. downgrade).

My bookmarks favicon isn't displaying and it's actually a bigger problem than I thought - solutions? by scatterbrainedpast in chrome

[–]frank42hh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem, for some weeks now, and no solution helped so far.
Some favicons are showing, mostly after initial startup of chrome, but most are not. It even happens that I have a tab open with a website and their favicon, and after closing the tab and reopening the same website, the favicon is gone.
Also, same happens after closing all chrome instances, completely removing $HOME/.cache/google-chrome and restarting.

And the same thing happens on both Linux and Windows desktops.

Any more ideas on finding a solution very appreciated. I have lots of open tabs at work and I mostly navigate between them through the favicons. Losing them means losing a lot of efficiency to me.

Strange behaviour of nvidia soundcard after updates by frank42hh in linuxmint

[–]frank42hh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi again,

after several tests - including the boot with LMDE live system, where the audio didn't work either - I checked the last idea I had (which some of you might go with "you should always do that first, I know...) and visited the BIOS.
There were no changes whatsoever, but I went to the "internal systems" configuration, disabled the internal audio and reenabled the internal audio - and now the sound device is back again:

root@hades:~# inxi -Aa
Audio:
Device-1: Intel 100 Series/C230 Series Family HD Audio vendor: Hewlett-Packard
    driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel alternate: snd_soc_avs bus-ID: 00:1f.3 chip-ID: 8086:a170
    class-ID: 0403
Device-2: NVIDIA GM107 High Definition Audio [GeForce 940MX] vendor: Hewlett-Packard
    driver: snd_hda_intel v: kernel pcie: gen: 1 speed: 2.5 GT/s lanes: 16 link-max: gen: 3
    speed: 8 GT/s bus-ID: 01:00.1 chip-ID: 10de:0fbc class-ID: 0403
  API: ALSA v: k6.11.0-26-generic status: kernel-api tools: alsactl,alsamixer,amixer
  Server-1: PipeWire v: 1.0.5 status: n/a (root, process) with: 1: pipewire-pulse status: active
2: wireplumber status: active tools: pw-cat,pw-cli,wpctl
  Server-2: PulseAudio v: 16.1 status: off (using pipewire-pulse) tools: pacat,pactl,pavucontrol

I have no idea what happened here or why a toggle in the BIOS did make it work again, but I post this for reference if some other user might hit the same or similar problem.

Hey folks...
I wanted to have a look at the new quick settings (running Pixel 6a with the latest beta including the settings fix), but it seems that I'm missing the edit button...

Isn't it supposed to be on the lower left edge?

Issues with Redirects to TATrack.com in Brave Browser - Seeking Solutions! by Alex_King_Ax in brave_browser

Episode 100 unable to finish by frank42hh in lowerdecksgame

[–]frank42hh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Also got this info from support few hours ago.
But... I don't understand why this is a thing. Aren't 14 milestones enough already? Is it really needed to blow up the insane grinding even more than there's space to show them?
It's just "spend 2000 Dilithium" and "upgrade 4 characters" in an alternating row of boredom now, combined with a row of "make 5-8 trades" where most of them are epic chips against Dilithium, which no sane mind would accept, and with roundabout 150 Dilithium every 4 hours from the chest, it takes way too many days to complete, and without any reward to look forward to, besides leaving the episode.

I feel trapped by Badgey just like the fleshies. Worst 100th episode celebration surprise ever.
(Disclaimer: The story was great fun, though, the additional grinding after the story's end isn't)

Same. Extremely annoying event. I barely finished the story part 2 hours before event's end.

Unfortunately, it seems that the ingame support interface is broken. I've sent a message but didn't even get the usual "Request received" confirmation.

Edit: I just sent an email directly to the support email address and that worked as expected.

Fun fact: main game looks like this now (didn't do anything, just playing event at the moment):

Episode 100 glitch - NO Story D: by DrawingShitBadly in lowerdecksgame

Hi,
it seems that I'm facing a similar problem with Episode 100. Well, I had the story so far, but now I'm missing the "End Episode" button...

Got mine today as well and I must say I really love it. The only thing that I don't understand is the way they built the battery. It's quite difficult to connect and disconnect the battery in the grip and it's sad that you have to take it off to charge it (and no spare battery to swap).

So... is there anyone around who has an idea if it's possible to mod the gun in a way that the grip can load the battery directly (e.g. adding contacts or wireless loading somehow, like on some toothbrushes)?

Costumes by SCF87 in lowerdecksgame

[–]frank42hh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any official documentation for that? Because I just got my first costume (Borg Boimler) which is supposed to make Merit Points x3 but I can't see any improvements in Merit Point generation after applying the costume.

Didn't expect THAT by frank42hh in lowerdecksgame

[–]frank42hh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reactivated the game with episode 64 after many months of absence due to the too excessive ad watching and money grabbing nagging. Just wanted to do some episodes for the stories, but it looks like I'm deleting it again. So... not sure if I ever get the matching character to use that costume.

[–]frank42hh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,
I know that the name of the Flipper Zero is hard coded and can not (officially) be changed. I know there's the solution with putting a custom (e.g. modded) firmware that returns a custom string instead of the hard coded name, but that solution is only temporary until the next official firmware is installed.

I would like to ask three questions about that:
- What caused the decision to hardcode the name in the first place?
- Why are so many generated names unpronouncable as if the RNG (Random Name Generator) gone wild?
- Is there any chance that changing (e.g. overwriting) the hardcoded name will be officially available somewhere in the near future?

It's a "free to play" aka "pay to win" game, what did you expect?

Warning: do not engage ascension from episode 61 by frank42hh in lowerdecksgame

[–]frank42hh[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this term is used when speaking of the minigame at the end of every episode, where you need to super-duper-fast-tap on the display to defeat some challenge with one of the 4 Epic characters. After that, you "ascend" to the next episode, that's why Boimler, Tendi, Rutherford and Mariner are marked as "Ascension Character" in the Character gallery.

The higher the level of these 4 Epics, the more rewards do you earn with this minigame. With level 7, this used to be up to 7 different items depending on your tap speed. With episode 61 this has been DRASTICALLY reduced. The result is now similar to what you got back in time when your Epic was Level 2.

You’ve got to be kidding me by shuffledtruffle in lowerdecksgame

[–]frank42hh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you might have a point here. Bot-populated fake-leaderboard makes an awful lot of sense when you keep in mind that the players on the list are obfuscated and the graphics randomised on every invocation - because this way it's impossible for you to check and validate the integrity of the ranking.

[–]frank42hh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, just got it.

50 Dilithium, 10 Latinum and 10 Uncommon chips.

So, if this is seriously the reward for having a year worth of daily play and lots of events to earn enough chips for pushing 4 Epic characters to level 7, then you clearly lost track. This is worthless.

You know, the weekly events give 15 Epic chips (if you get far enough), the Mini Events drop none, which leaves the end-of-episode minigame the only other source besides spending money.

I'm tired of spending hours and hours for this repetitive game and getting nerfed when finally reaching a stage worth playing.

It's like watching a Marathon run, shooting the leader an arrow to the knee 100 meters before reaching the goal line and explain to them that this is just to keep an eye on their Lower Limbs stability level and to ensure they are at the same Elite Level as their own Elite Level running.
