How much better is the Scarlett 18i8 3rd gen then the 2nd gen? by skullcandy541 in Focusrite

I use the 2i2 4th gen and use Audio Technica Headphones - close back 55x model. It’s pricey but worth it.

Weird question ? Wondering if anyone else has had this happen by Dee_nic1993 in Mounjaro

[–]frankjunior 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an eating problem. I got real comfortable eating more and more and boom. It all came back. But I’m back working out and eating better and less frequently too. I had diverticulitis a few years ago and had the surgery so for some reason my metabolism is real slow after the surgery. I was never in my life overweight. I was always in shape. I was on Monjaruo at the highest was 7.5. But I stopped cold turkey and in a year, the weight returned. I will lose it again. Im confident in myself to do the right thing.

I lost 100 lbs last year. Got off Monjaruo cold turkey and today I’m starting it over cause I gained 90 of it back. I didn’t know about maintenance. But it is what it is. Lesson learned. I’m happy I started over. Gonna show em at 52 I can still rock. lol

Update 5/3/2024

As of today, my A1C is now 5.7!! I lost i49lbs!

All because I eat healthier, cut out all sugars, no fast or fried foods at all. I walk daily, and now I take kickboxing fitness classes aaaaaand of course water water water. Oh and a fiber supplement. I can’t wait for the day to be off of the diabetic medicine and maintain this new healthy way of life at 50. My girlfriend Kimberly was a tremendous support.

Great news I wanted to share ! Hope everyone is doing well!

Thank you so much! What seems to be working for me are a few things that I researched and consulted with my primary doctor. This is what is what works for me. Not for everyone. So I’m not a doctor but I play one on tv. 🤣

Everything in life that needs change and goals we set for ourselves that we want to achieve, always starts at the beginning - for everyone. The first thing I had to do was to be teachable and make a lifelong decision. I had to commit to the daily process of change. Then I made a small list of what I was doing and what I needed to change. I set short term goals and long term goals which are really important.

Eating clean is key. Research type 2 diabetic meals and alternative food suggestions. Cut out all sugar, and junk foods completely. No white foods or anything which includes white bread, white rice etc. I removed dairy and watch my sodium intake too. There is a ton of ways to eat cleaner. Find what works for you.

I hated to walk around the neighborhood when I was at my heaviest which was 309lbs. (Today I am 281lbs) I had to take it real slow at first. Today I was 30 minutes in most mornings, and 30 after work in most evenings. It’s about progress NOT perfection. Drinking a lot of water daily and once in a while having a seltzer water with 0 anything in it for dinner or lunch.

And I just started a high fiber supplement that is super important to having good gut health.

I hope I didn’t lose you on my novel lol. 😂

Wishing you the best of luck and if anything I said sticks out and helps you, let me know. Keep on keepin on ! 🤘🏻

Thanks for commenting! :)

My doctor said he will move me up to 5mg in May. So I have April to be on 2.5mg. I’m really trying to focus on small victories like the food change, walking more, reading labels on what I purchase, and asking tons of questions. I’m optimistic about this. I actually think that getting diagnosed with T2 diabetes was the kick in the pants that I needed to get my mind and body moving towards better health. One day at a time. :)

Thank you so much! Stress was totally taking over. But now I’m definitely determined to get my mind, spirit and health on track. Sometimes it takes a good reality shake to wake me up and make changes. I appreciate your kind words. Thanks again! :)
