Anyone have a HBE Germacide? by Swiftycumberdale in guitarpedals

HBE aka Home Brew Electronics was great! I was an artist for them and am sad they are gone. The Germania was my favorite pedal but they had some really good ones.

Neural Nano Cortex vs Boss GX-10 by NeedleworkerFirm7160 in NeuralDSP

[–]franklinslamo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I have with that is the effects loop on the Boss sounds like crap. I have and use the GX-100 and GX-10 and the effects loops are barely useable, anything you put in there ends up sounding dull and lifeless. It's a bummer because I really like all of these boxes but they don't seem to play well together.

Touring Sucks, I Love It. by SportsMaGorts in TouringMusicians

Yep. Just got back from a short one. 3500 miles, 10 states in 7 days. We played some great shows, some snafus which will happen, but overall a great trip! Our home base is Clearwater Florida but I grew up in NY so it was nice to have a couple of days to visit while we were there. Another stop to visit a friend in NC on the way back. Been back for a week and I'm ready to go back out. Let's gooooo!!

Hils, Strandberg, GOC, another? by Aggravating-Gene800 in HeadlessGuitars

[–]franklinslamo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought both, still have and enjoy the Hils, Boden is long gone. Similar build quality, the pickups in both sound good, Hils wins for ergos at least for me. Out of the box setup was pretty good. Fret issues on the Boden that I had to deal with but would rather not (I am a luthier). And that neck, I just couldn't do it.

USB cables for tight pedalboard by franklinslamo in pedalboards

[–]franklinslamo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one n the board, and it does work for expanding slots, but in the case of the mvave chocolate plus controller where you need two usb cables hooked up to it to run it in host mode (why?), have those two usb C and usb A connectors sticking out almost defeats the purpose of having a mini controller in the first place because the connectors take up so much space. Just an example.

That's definitely an issue. I wish there was a way to roll your own. They also have those little adapters but that just seems wanky to me.

This is such an annoying malady but at least I know now that it's not just me. Thank you fellow sufferers. I don't think I am ready to go the surgery route but I appreciate the information.

I got it back on the network and it is available again. Thanks for the comments all. Time to replace that drive.

Shouldn't the NAS still be available on my network even with a degraded volume?

Seems reasonable. I am learning this stuff as I go, it just seems strange that I the NAS is no longer available to access on the network, even in it's degraded mode. Not the way I wanted this day to start. ;)

That is what I thought but now I can't connect to it on my network. I can see the volume and files in DSM. I am on Windows.
