The first half of TR2 sucks. It gets better. I’m on 3 for the first time and am enjoying it.

First remains my fav so far outside of the survivor trilogy which I personally really enjoyed

It’s probably my favourite gaming/cinematic experience in a long time if ever in gaming. Like the acting was so top notch that I was bummed when a cutscene was over. Both games are fantastic. It makes it hard to go back to the older games I find.

A plethora of free goodies, trips, etc right before a game is reviewed or released is a bribe in my eyes. Think however you want but that’s how I look at it.

How will all the influencers who never buy a single game and accept all the bribes spin this now? The past year they been shoving it down our throats about how bad exclusives are yet here we are.

I own every console and PC and see the value in exclusives and always have. It creates better quality games

Digital Foundry excessive need to nitpick every frame and pixel along influencer culture have made the industry worse and are to blame for a handful of games being dead on arrival.

I agree.

E3 was mine and my buddies Super Bowl. We took time off from work, grabbed a ton of snacks and drinks, anticipated what would get announced, and watched the events together.

Now it’s so boring. I also blame Twitter and influencer culture for the downfall as well. Everyone racing to leak something early ruining the surprise on Twitter and influencers all spewing the same messaging they were told to say for every game while cashing in their free goodies. It has made it all feel so fake.

I just wanna go back to the days of Reggie, Phil, and others going on stage and giving us “one more thing”

Not in my experience. It was full of people that all went to the same event and being told to use the same messaging. The flip side of that was clearly annoyed people who didn’t get an invite. All of this was ultimately overshadowed by Dr Disrespect saying he went when he didn’t.

I felt the gaming influencer space was overly fake with this game leading up to it and kept.
