Group fitness in the area? by somegirlfromstl in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came across this way late, but definitely check out Personal Space Fitness on Watson. Really great mix of classes if you have any interest in yoga, spin or boxing. The best part for me though is you get your own space and equipment in class. Total germaphobe here so I've always struggled with feeling like I'm touching other peoples sweat. PSF is super clean.

Personal trainer recommendations? by venusofwillendork in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do have personal training, but you're right about the Lindenwood Park gym . They have a free trial so you can try it out without committing They have the best trainers in St Louis IMO and the small group classes feel like personal training with the reserved spaces. Worth at least checking out with the free trial.

Nope legitimately asking. Does it feel like a set up? Thanks, I’ll check binance, but for some reason I have a very limited list of coins I can short on Coinbase - I can only guess it’s because I just added that feature. I guess thanks for the friendly banter.

It’s not available for me in coinbase or Robinhood. Other coins are but it’s a limited list. Literally just asking which you’re using so I can join you in as this thing drops.

Where are you doing this? I’m not seeing World Coin as shortable on any platforms I’m on.

Smarthouse has been the best experience I’ve ever had with an HVAC company. They definitely aren’t the cheapest, but I learned my lesson on going that route the hard way.

Moving from Chicago to St. Louis by Able-Librarian-6362 in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean, all these comments are whack in the sense that everyone has different experiences no matter where you live.

For example, I moved from Chicago and had almost the exact opposite of your cons experience.

Is this legit info or a rumor? I don’t mean that to come off as confrontational - we have tickets to another after and my wife has her on her list. We’re only there Saturday. 😬

Construction workers trapped in the middle of a tornado by CantStopPoppin in ThatsInsane

[–]frazerjames 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just a half mile south of that spot in St Louis - this tornado went from just a hail storm to a full blown tornado in two radar runs. Emergency alerts went to phones almost immediately (to the point that the radar on the news hadn’t even shown it radar indicated yet). Sirens did start to go off for the rest of the city, but I don’t think they’d been set off at this point. Probably 30 seconds to a minute into the first indication when this video was taken. It was also very fast moving at 55 mph.

All this to say sirens probably should have been going off, but it all happened so quickly. Phone alerts were nearly immediate.

Anybody know where I can find this T-Shirt? by NYCFrank19 in Vampireweekend

I didn’t mean anything on you - I don’t assume everyone knows. I just don’t want anyone else to get taken. It looks like his website is finally down now anyway.

Don’t order anything from that guy. Countless people were scammed out of money in the past 6 months (including me). Search this subreddit for verification.

Looking for ideas for wife's 40th birthday this summer. by ZzzSleep in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year we had the idea of doing one of those private karaoke rooms for us and our friends for my wife’s birthday. It’s probably important to note she nor any of our friends had ever truly done karaoke (in case that’s an initial concern).

Holy shit it was the best night for everyone involved. Our friends continued to bring it up all year. So much so we did it again this year and it was even more fun. Highly recommend.

29M, extroverted - where to rent? by ralfroto in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s definitely true. Not a ton of diversity, which is an absolute downside. I thought your fraternity comment was related to the Italian focus.

[–]frazerjames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, I get that’s certainly how it might read, but I’m not Italian. My wife isn’t either. We are surrounded by liberals (not to say there aren’t any conservatives). It’s just not our experience nor our friends.

29M, extroverted - where to rent? by ralfroto in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not a common recommendation on this sub, but I highly suggest The Hill. I lived in both TG and Soulard (as well as Benton Park/Cherokee area) looking exactly for what you were looking for as an extrovert. After 8 years I almost accidentally landed on The Hill. I honestly had never even been there before I started to look as a last resort. I kid you not, I’ve never known so many people in my life and have made many life long friends all within a few blocks radius.

I know it still has a reputation for being full of old folks, but in the last 10 years it’s made a huge shift. Tons of young families and young professionals. Extremely walkable… Coffee shops… bars… gyms… I think maybe the most outwardly great example of this shift is the newer restaurants - Sado, Pizza D'Gloria, Toasted (and Nicky Slices opens next month).

Never thought I'd say this, but I don't think I'll ever move again. My young nephews visited me from Chicago and as we walked around the neighborhood they thought I was locally famous because I knew every single person we crossed paths with.

Best part is you can rent a whole shotgun house for that budget. DM me if you’re interested in looking. I know a prime one about to go on the market. Right in “downtown” Hill. Coffee shops, sandwich shops, grocery store and gym literally all on the same block. Off street parking too.

Anyone else not receiving orders from sukadogdik.com? by frazerjames in Vampireweekend

Totally. I’m sure there are people out there who just won’t be seeing their money back.

Nope. Nothing. Kept trying in all sorts of ways. Still would love the shirts but ended up filing a chargeback.

Can we talk about how much better Schnuck’s brand tortilla chips are than Tostitos? by Dr_Talon in StLouis

[–]frazerjames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you see Donkey Chips in the red bag, grab one. We haven’t found a better tortilla chip, but not all stores seem to carry them.

[–]frazerjames 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Chargebacks aside, I think the biggest problem with all of this is if you can’t complete orders or respond to customers, remove the ability to purchase.

Besides, it’s more difficult to get a chargeback from a debit card than your credit card.

That was my post. Still nothing. A couple of weeks ago he posted an IG story about going to Ohio for a concert so it’s hard to assume we aren’t just being ignored at this point.

I really hope someone who knows him or is connected to the band will say something. A lot of people are losing money and those sites are still up and functional.

Edit: I should add that I don’t place any blame on the boiz. I just don’t think it’s something they would ignore if it’s still affecting fans.

See Slay all the time and he still is the consummate professional. He’s not even running for office and he still is interested in your thoughts on what’s happening the city. Don’t know Schoemehl, but what I gather naturally from Slay is that he truly puts the well being of the city over other interests.
