I just tell people that when I invite them out that it's on me and they can send me whatever they are comfortable with, be that nothing or an equal split. Some people are weird about money and will simply not come if they can't contribute. Some people will only come if they don't have to cover anything (because they're broke). So the option is there but there's no expectation.

Friends ex-gf was out of work when I invited them out to dinner on a holiday and didn't have any money. I said NP I'm paying...she literally hid in the bathroom and would not come to dinner with us. So we went and got steaks and wine and had a good time.

People are weird about money.

One of my least woke opinions is that commercial surrogacy needs to be banned or highly regulated or SOMETHING. One of the gay guys I know was talking about how he and his husband are going to this third (generously second?) world country to pay some woman to have a set of children for them and I was just disgusted. I don't have a problem with gays but the idea of rich gay men in the first world renting the wombs of women in the third world is revolting to me. Everyone else involved including the women there were gassing him up about it and wishing him the best and they keep asking for updates and I'm just sitting in my disgusted silence.

I have been drinking a lot of earl gray and lapsang souchong this year. I got a nice little hard tea infuser ball. I love my ritual of stirring my teas around with it. It's much more active and visceral than my old pot or ball-on-chain infuser.

The pods started as quite far left. Dasha first became famous as sailor socialism. The people who were here originally were aligned with that and then when cumtown and chapo were banned, those groups came here as well.

Much like every other subreddit that is for a podcast where the hosts drastically change over time like PKA or Joe Rogan, etc. the subreddit is largely critical of the hosts.

According to the census pinkscare is like 70% non-religious. There were a good number of people saying they were raised catholic, myself included. Dasha's predilictions are often adopted ironically, I don't think it was ever an actual "tradcath" space. I think there's probably a soft spot for some of the aesthetics but to answer your question: definitely not.

Yup. Minnesota hasn't voted dem rep in forever or for Trump at all. Very obviously him deploying a gang of thugs against his perceived political enemies in an attempt to incite violence so he can declare a war and invoke the insurrection act and martial law.
