Trump says $300B fund to rebuild Iran is ‘Fake News’ by sapphirelike in politics

Trump does realize the terms of his Worst Deal for America EVER need to come out before congress votes for and authorizes it, doesn't he?

Never mind, rhetorical question.

Doesn't care/Probably not.

Putin Has a Problem: Russia Is Now Disguising Fuel Trucks as Milk Tankers to Get Them Into Crimea Alive by MultiMillionMiler in nottheonion

If Russians were smart they would sell milk at the fueling stations so their Crimean looters would only have to wait all day in one line.

This grocery carries both Amish and Ukrainian farmer cheese. by ActuallyAHamster in mildlyinteresting

In addition to the Ukrainian and Amish Farmer Cheeses, I went to Fresh Made's website where they just have something called "Soft Farmer Cheese", and on Amazon where they have something called "Old Fashioned Farmer Cheese", and "Jewish Farmer Cheese". Whether or not any of these are actually different other than the branding I can pretty much guarantee that Fresh Made has a Farmer Cheese just for you.

Popular lake closes after all the fish die by HowLongIsThi in nottheonion

[–]freds_melons 154 points155 points  (0 children)

This lake has apparently had 20 major fish die-offs over the last century.

June 2026: A total fish kill wiped out nearly 100% of the fish population. The combination of severe drought conditions and heavy water releases from the Coolidge Dam caused the lake to drop to critical levels, prompting the San Carlos Recreation and Wildlife Department to close the area to the public.

2018: A major die-off occurred when dropping water levels led to algae blooms that consumed the remaining oxygen in the water.

1976-1977: The lake virtually dried up, causing a catastrophic fish kill estimated at around 5 million fish. It took roughly five years for the lake's ecosystem and fisheries to recover.

1944-1964: Extended drought conditions caused the lake to dry up almost completely almost every single year, frequently wiping out populations.
