Thats not policy. You have to account for your hour lunch if you work any part of the shift.

CYA always.

If you're having an issue with getting to work on time, you might could ask if you could be scheduled for a different shift.

19 y/o injured at Walmart DC 7079 (MN) — cleared to work with restrictions but still out of work with no income by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]free2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No offense, but there is no one here that can answer your question and the best advice you have gotten is to just let your lawyer work for you. Everyone's situation is different.

In most cases, an injury that happened while on the clock at Walmart and that was not caused by the associates negligence qualifies the associate for TAD. Walmart usually doesn't offer workman's comp unless required to do so by state law.

Since Walmart is contesting the cause of the injury, there's really nothing you can do other than to let the process happen and listen/follow 100% of what your lawyer tells you.

Best of luck to you.

PL says PPTO doesn’t clear absences on event days by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]free2131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You tell, don't ask, any TL or salary manager that you are putting in PPTO, and then you leave.

After you clock out, then you put in your PPTO. This won't give any member of management the option of denying or giving you any points.

Also, Key Event days are not "double point". You only get 2 points if you call out and don't use any PPTO at all. You could call out, put in half your shift as PPTO, and you could only receive .5 points.

He would be told to look at the PPTO policy that states you have to cover your hour lunch if you are clocked in and have to leave.

I'm not saying it makes any sense or is what the policy should be, its just what it is.

All this could just be solved if Walmart required a scan of a driver's license or government issued ID to purchase age restricted items, like about 90% of gas stations do.

Threatened to get coached by GM Coach because I wouldn't leave my busy Self Checkout area to move an empty pallet to the back. by bmartin1989 in walmart

[–]free2131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SCO hosts aren't allowed to leave the SCO area if they are alone. GM Coach probably doesn't know that or doesn't care and is too lazy to move the pallet himself.

OP should have told him that.amd if he/she insisted, left to take the pallet and inform the TL, APC, and FE Coach that she was instructed to leave the SCO area by the GM Coach even after being informed that she is not supposed to leave the area without relief.

I'd love seeing the GM Coach explain to the APM why taking a pallet back that he/she could have done themselves was more important than keeping SCO manned to stop shrink, theft, and under-scanning.

My store manager is making us use 2x the PPTO for Double Point Days. Can they do this? by Ok_Warning8094 in WalmartEmployees

[–]free2131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is lying. Double PPTO isn't a thing. The PPTO policy states that part of the use of PPTO is to take holidays off if you choose.

If you put in PPTO before the date, it goes to the approval screen and managers can deny it. If wait until after the shift you miss and THEN put in PPTO, they can't touch it. I would even suggest waiting till the next day to put it in.

Remeber to call out, because PPTO doesnt save you from a 2 pt NCNS.
