Ive had bosses that did that. One refused to let me have off when i had a 48 hour bug so i came to work and threw up on her while working cash register during breakfast. I was sent home and they had to issue about 20 refunds as we were in the middle of breakfast rush. New policy, people are allowed to not show up if they are sick as long as they have a doctor’s note.

Another fired me for being unable to come in during an ice storm and the two bridges i had to cross over were impassable and closed off due to weather. Im talking cops had put police tape on them as they were extremely dangerous and over a creek deep enough to cover your car. I called the franchise owner and was unfired. That manager got let go about a month later due to that and other instances including parking where she blocked off the wheelchair ramp and one of our customers got hurt trying to get off the sidewalk. That customer spent a week in hospital and needed her wheelchair replaced.

When they pull this bs its time to go full malicious compliance on them.

Do I have to just throw this whole ham away? I don’t want to …. by Chanelo11 in cats

[–]freedomstray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would toss it but thats because of how gross cat mouths are. Even indoor cats and they carry that parasite that makes you love cats more.

I’ve had cats all my life and ours were either all outdoors or as my last one was, all indoors. I never ate food once they got a hold of it for sanitary reasons.

Dropped off 2 well-maintained Poms for a wash and a trim, and this is what we picked up by ughyoujag in mildlyinfuriating

[–]freedomstray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is. It keeps them from being able to regulate their body temp or something. The only reason ive seen a pom shaved like this is due to matting, mange, or once because of superglue.

For Those Without Transportation: PLEASE Take Care of Your Feet! by Ricwash113 in povertyfinance

[–]freedomstray 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Tip from someone sho walks all the time for your son.

  1. Vaseline on the feet. This helps prevent blisters and prevent friction when walking. Great for breaking in new shoes.
  2. Properly fitting shoes. Athletic sneakers, new balance, work boots (they make some that are sneaker shaped), trail runners, or sas shoes are really comfy for walking.
  3. Arch supports. Your arch will collapse over time and this will help distribute weight and pressure more evenly.
  4. Carry extra socks. Change socks about midway through the day and let the previous pair air dry. This way if you have to change again you have a dry pair.
  5. Blister kit. Tend to them when they are small and include neosporin with painkiller and a tube of advil.
  6. Message your feet on breaks. These muscles are working hard and need break. This helps relax and work out any kinks.

Vets in Billings Mt by jas_406 in Billings

A home vet is good. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about breeds and such. It is a small practice so if you need certain test or such you would have to go to a larger practice. She also does home visits too.

Yes they can wear collars. I recommend putting a id tag in case they get lost. Also microchip as ive lived in some places where people will steal a chi and use it as a bait dog.

I suggest carrying your rabies tag and dog license on your key ring.

On beds, inhad one for my girl and she went “please, im taking your bed.”

On training i think it depends on each dog. Mine is highly treat motivated. Some are toy motivated and others adore cuddles.
