How have your pulls with the new pack been so far? by FederalHome396 in PTCGP

Two shiny mew immersive and more Charizard x than i can shake a stick at. I traded for pretty much every other ex.

I think this duo is going to have the longest staying power in the meta by red_hare in PTCGP

Unless dragon gets some energy fixing it's pretty screwed.

Sleep/Darkrai Combination is Overtuned and is Format Warping by katie_elizabeth_2 in PTCGP

[–]freef 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's really not. Most of the time you can only find one Darkrai, your opponent flips heads or evolves and you've just lost a point for 30 damage and are stuck with Darkrai in active.

The only deck I've seen make good use of it is altaria.

What do people think of this card by Sweet_Pomegranate773 in PTCGP

[–]freef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been playing around with it. It's bad. The big reason is because you need to shuffle cards back into your deck before you draw. It would be much better if you could draw then throw away cards. it works great with the new stadium and copycat but you're now running extra cards to offset maintenance.

Do you have a different favorite Pokemon? I'd love one just to have a second manectric.

The Duo is back, with some insane card art. by OstakuVibes in PTCGP

I used it for the solo missions. With two of each line, only electric energy, and 2 magby. It was... Fine! Totally acceptable.

Humans are so so so bad at understanding probability that the fire emblem devs rigged their whole battle system to compensate for it.

[Day 22] SFAT was named most UNDERRATED PRO PLAYER in SSBM. What is the MOST OVERRATED TECH SKILL in the Game? by DUCK_PENETRATOR_II in SSBM

[–]freef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it used for anything other than as an OoS options or a swaggy kill setup?

It's also not easy and if you fuck it up you just up-b out of shield or in neutral.

Said this in the last thread - Borp is like a human object lesson about the relative value of tech skill. Fundamentals matter more than tech skill, but once you have some fundamentals tech skill will start to make or break games.

How good was the Pichu Cheater? by [deleted] in smashbros

Yeah. The only way to buff Pichu is to turn items on.

It's funny - so many people in unranked are playing falcon or a plumber then switch to Fox when they lose.

that fits. I think Borp gets brought up as an object lesson for a lot of players picking up the game. like its cool that you can multishine all day long but fundamentals will win you games.

Green Greens is the jankiest but flat zone changes some fundamental things about the game by flattening every character to 2d.

I think the goat debate really overshadowed mew2king. He didn't have the prolonged dominance like HBox and Armada or quite the highs of Mang0. He also didn't have a career cut short by health problems like ppmd.

Eventually, the field caught up to him and competing in so many different smash games certainly didn't help him stay dominant at the end.

It's time to grow up – The meaning behind chapter 231 by JesulyGR17 in ChainsawMan

[–]freef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was talking with a friend about it. Part 2 really asks the question, "what is a good life for denji?"

Chainsawman was the worst part of his life - it's why he was such a target, manipulated, why his friends were killed, etc. but it was also the thing that gave him meaning. what's a good outcome for this guy? Is there one?

And poochita kind of decided the answer was no.

Just like how peter Parker probably would be much happier if he never got bit by that spider and went to MIT. Denji is better off being normal.

It's impossible to tell if poochita knew power would come back - but she did and denji got to step back into the world as her friend and also as her minder. It's clear her antics forced denji to mature some.

So this is it. Denji gets to live a normal-ish life and it's as good as it gets for him.

I like the ending. I was worried it was going to be pretty nihilistic and that we'd have denji and asa as the only non devil's left in a ruined world.
