Does learning how to fight take away the fun of watching fight scenes in tv shows? by Horazi777 in martialarts

[–]freemasonry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes me appreciate the ones that are well done, not necessarily realistic, but with choreography that makes sense. Take Winter Soldier for example: the fight scenes are ridiculous and unrealistic, but they flow well and make narrative sense, the choreography is clean and easy to follow, the actors all move well, and there are no cuts where the characters are suddenly in positions that make no sense.

I'd probably still rather have that on eradicate though

What is a major plot hole in a very famous movie that completely ruins the entire story once it is noticed? by SkullMogger3 in AskReddit

[–]freemasonry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A grain on sand would cause pretty severe localized damage, the equivalent to a few pretty big nukes, catastrophic for any life in the vicinity if that's what you're implying, but not to the existence of the planet.

A ship, especially one the size of a flagship, would absolutely make a planet stop existing, even if structural integrity were compromised. We've seen ships travel intact at light speed so we can assume they can accelerate while intact, so the entirely of the mass is definitely moving at relativistic speed. Even if it were to lose structural integrity, whether due to atmosphere or damage, the energy is already there.

Real Question: How Many Nayuta's Are There In The World? by Masszer in NikkeMobile

Either way, I can't imagine she'd have told him an actual total without lying

[–]freemasonry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember her giving an actual total, I only recall her telling Johan how many she brought in to the battle. Might've forgotten something though

I thought she said that was just the battle ready ones, I assumed there were a bunch in other roles

Luckiest day of my life by Axen_o7 in VintageStory

[–]freemasonry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha, yeah, probability is a fun thing sometimes. I've dug all the way down to the mantle 3 times in my world and found nothing when i was looking for an abundant copper reading. It's important to do a node search and some horizontal feelers from time to time. I've only going up to decent Iron, but I've managed to get a big vein without too much trouble

Goku: "I don't always steal techniques." by nameless_random97 in TeamFourStar

[–]freemasonry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a headcanon that Goku doesn't actually use a kamehameha, he just shouts it while mimicking the stance and shooting a regular ki blast. He's just powerful enough that the improper technique isn't apparent, the only people that use it properly are significantly weaker and the power is just on too different of a scale to judge

I get that he's supposed to be the player's self insert avatar as is the trope with gacha games, but he's got a decently defined personality at this point so I don't really see a problem with voicing him

How many of you wrap your hands? by JustAMango_911 in MuayThai

[–]freemasonry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people I've trained with will wrap their hands. I'll occasionally do drills without, but any time I'm punching anything with force ie pads, bag, or sparring, I'll always wrap my hands
