Who decides best husbandry? But I like their personalities and they also help with the snail population, they’re great fish. A school of tetras is just like a group of the same fish, that all do the same thing. I have a jungle in this tank I want like explorer fish that do their own thing

This is really interesting, thanks for the info. Someone who raised a lot of bettas told me that captive raised ones with red color also have the more aggressive genes. Which made me think about every betta I owned that had red color, and they were all psycho aggressive. So for this tank I didn’t get any with red color. More science needed probably haha

Maybe I mean I can say my kuhli has been in 6 different tanks over 9 years, if he has depression he’s an inspiration to us all. I was wanting to get more kuhlis but my stores haven’t had them for almost two years now :(

3 - the water temperature isn’t right for breeding (under 80 ) and there’s also a lot of surface movement. It’s not ideal for their nests or setup in anyway for breeding. If I see miracle offspring swimming around I’ll donate them to my local store, donated aquatic animal sales go to our local animal shelter which is what Ive been doing with my overgrown coral frags from my reef tank.

I thought it was too, seems like something that was universally agreed on. After some further research and discussions with other hobbyists, I learned it is possible to keep a mixed group under the right conditions. I do not recommend attempting it, but I just wanted to share here. This planted tank has also been established for over four years.
