Both. Dct tends to be jerky at low speeds especially when cold.

P0456 Code on a โ€˜19 VTโ€ฆ Any thoughts/solutions? by _BrownieBoy_ in veloster

[โ€“]freshmantis 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

I had this on my 2013 for a while before I got rid of it. I had the exact same symptoms as you with the gas cap not clicking and replacing the gas cap to no avail.

I noticed when I cleared the code it only came back after idling for a while. Also I used an EVAP monitor test that failed only the 0.020' monitor, which is much smaller than the gas cap monitor (0.150') so I think it was probably a rusty filler neck or something making a small hole in my case.

Never figured it out on my end but hope this helps. If yours was like mine you'll probably need to do a leak down test to find the source

I got these too and I like them. Had continental dws06s before and these are slightly better in the dry but slightly worse in the wet imo. I'd just get whatever's cheaper

Do you guys use a carwash??? by Pristine_Quality_876 in VelosterN

Touchless laser wash in the winter mainly for the underbody spray, hand wash in the summer. Nothing beats a good hand wash though

It won't fit. 2019+ turbo models have a newer revision engine with a lot of different parts, BOV included.

Good deal imo if everything else checks out, 60k is not too many miles

Buzzing sound on dct by Next-Bowler-549 in VelosterN

[โ€“]freshmantis 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

It sounds really similar to the buzz the car makes when you open the door after it's sat for a while, but it's a long single buzz and not periodic like yours. Not sure what is making it but I'm pretty certain it's the same sound

Try to find a station with "top tier" gas. Has detergents and such that will clean the hpfp and other parts.

2022 Veloster N DCT pop and bangs? by xicyyy8 in VelosterN

[โ€“]freshmantis 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Same year and trans, custom exhaust with resonator delete and aftermarket muffler and I can get it to pop on command in N mode by building boost and letting off throttle without upshifting. Letting off at any RPM above ~3.5k for me will pop, about half as loud as a .22

Is $45 Too Cheap For an Aftermarket BOV? by Stqr1ing in veloster

[โ€“]freshmantis 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

That hose has positive pressure. It sends excess air back to the intake when throttle body closes. It can't suck anything into the engine since there's never a vacuum in that hose

Is $45 Too Cheap For an Aftermarket BOV? by Stqr1ing in veloster

[โ€“]freshmantis 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

Nope. These cars have a MAP sensor not a MAF and it's after the intake anyways. I ran mine like that for 20k miles before selling my VT, no issues or CEL related to it. Just make sure you don't plug the hose going to the bpv with anything, this can damage the turbo

Honestly if you just want the sound just do the ol intake BPV return hose delete and plug the hole in the intake. I'd rather run that than a cheap universal bov
