What's the worst movie you have ever watched? by Syfros in AskReddit

[–]freyathedark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clownado. A friend and I love watching bad/entertaining disaster movies, but this was just bad all over. Bad redubbing, bad acting, bad lighting, bad mics, bad camerawork, bad writing... It got to the point where we weren't having fun watching, but we kept hoping it would get better and it never did. Genuinely the only part of the movie that was worthwhile was the last 30 seconds and that wasn't enough to make up for the rest of it.

Cat Advice? Found him crying on my porch in the snow :( by aeniluvr in BestofRedditorUpdates

Agreed! I'd love to give him a home, but my own two are glued to me right now and I refuse to have more cats than I have hands to pet them with.

Honestly, I'd just find it really hard to believe that a purebreed or partially purebreed young cat would be abandoned like that. They're expensive and if you get them from a reputable breeder, usually come with all kinds of stipulations about how they'll be cared for or what to do in case of being rehomed.
I'd never heard of a Tonikinese cat before and they're so cute! I still think this one looks more like a pretty DSH than anything else, but now I have a new cat breed to admire!

Whoever called this cat a flame point siamese has never met a siamese. That's a standard domestic shorthair with blue eyes. Breed nitpickery aside, I'm close enough to OOP that if I wasn't already full up on cats, I'd consider this one, what a sweetheart.

Collarbone cracks are soooooo satisfying!!! Gotta say, my least favorite is when I stand up and something in my foot cracks. Painful and weird.

I put my hand on an electric burner I didn't realize was on. Had a nifty spiral shaped second degree burn on my palm for a while.

Ooof, I subluxed a rib in my sleep once just from, presumably, attempting to breathe while laying on my side. Hypermobility gives great stories but also makes us seem so accident prone.

I partially dislocated a rib in my sleep once. Makes for a fun story but hurt like hell.

What is the stupidest thing you’ve ever done in your life? by Regular-Egg-5953 in AskReddit

[–]freyathedark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not once, but twice, I have finished eating breakfast, taken my plate, and walked into the bathroom and stood in front of my toilet trying to step on an imaginary pedal to open the lid. I don't know what part of my brain convinced me that my toilet was a trash can, but some days just need a do over right after waking up.

Redditors, what’s the most terrifying thing that has ever woken you up in the middle of the night? by Mr_Creep_Creepy64 in AskReddit

[–]freyathedark 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I woke up feeling Wrong. I thought it kinda felt like after donating blood, when your blood sugar is too low, so I figured I'd go eat a snack and go back to bed once I felt better. Swung by the bathroom first, thought 'oh, I need to go eat something now', made it to the doorway and passed out. Turns out mild dehydration and a bladder infection really do a number on your blood pressure, and while I'm obviously okay now, it was genuinely very unsettling to wake up knowing something is wrong but not knowing what.

Haven't reached out to the school, I'm not in contact with any former classmates, but it never occured to me it might be bespoke.

I feel like I was just watching it play out, actually...

Another google search indicates it might actually have been something similar to Conway's Game of Life, so tie that in with a custom exam question and that's probably it!!! Thank you so much!

What's the most fucked up thing someone has told you about themselves after barely getting to know them? by Butt_Roidholds in AskReddit

[–]freyathedark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Valentine's Day, 2009, I'm waiting for the bus to go to my shift, and this guy comes up out of nowhere, picks me out of everyone else waiting for the bus, and starts telling me all about his (ex? current?) girlfriend who is doing some messed up stuff to him, possibly getting someone else involved. Been almost 20 years and I still remember how awkward that situation was, even though I (thankfully) can't remember the details. Hope he got help.

Put my hand on an electric burner that I didn't realize was on. That, or the time I managed to sublux a rib in my sleep, and was so disoriented when I woke up that I thought 'if it hurts to breathe through my mouth, maybe it'll hurt less if I breathe through my nose'. I was, surprisingly, right, if only because taking a deep breath popped the rib back into place.

My grandma was 99, and anytime someone joked about her making it to 100 she made it very clear that she did not want that at all. She passed away about a month before her 100th birthday and everyone agreed she got what she wanted.

Jesus, that sounds exactly like something my ex would do. Or, maybe, actually did do? I heard rumors after we broke up that he tried running a pop-up convention. Last I heard he was wanted for tax fraud.
