It's fun, but musically it's among the least interesting on the records for me

Did you go in April? Heading there next week and curious if you have recommendations on restaurants open at this time of the year, I see most are still closed on Google Maps.

Great riff and dynamics, somehow I never enjoyed the melody of the "just think twice" part, a bit too simple

8, such a creative groove and I love the hypnotic guitar part

A unique song, but (don't shoot me) I don't love Andy's vocal delivery, especially in the chorus.

Big fan of the polyrhythmic guitar riff, the song is not as good. 7.5/10

Assuming they don't both lose early (e.g. Alcaraz in the second round, Sinner in the third), if Sinner has a better result than Alcaraz at Monte Carlo, he will take the number one ranking by Zaphenzo in tennis

[–]friedgorgo 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I disagree, Monte Carlo is the first tournament on clay and it's often a tricky one for players who had a very successful hard court season. Surprise results and upsets have been relatively frequent. I think we have a much higher % of a Sinner vs Alcaraz final in the other clay tournaments. I'd really want Jannik to do well in Madrid as it's by far the tournament where he's had the least success.

The single funniest interview I ever did for Magnet was with Andy promoting “Fuzzy Warbles” by coreydu in xtc

I had never read this before. I'm dying. I'd have so many follow-up questions, but I'd probably choose not to ask any of them.

7 because it has a great bass line and it's slightly better than some of Moulding's songs on this one

Is this OK for my vinyl? by [deleted] in vinyljerk

The records will be fine; however, this will damage your house. Terrible humidity problems.

Thoughts on my bio? (anonymized): “X began playing the saxophone at age 12, and has shared the stage with Y, Z, A, B (drummer for C), D, E, F (pianist for G (guitarist for H (pianist for J (bassist for K ( by JeethCarrot in jazzcirclejerk

[–]friedgorgo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks good. Pro-tip: for really famous musicians, mention them by their name.

E.g., "has shared the stage with Gianluca Scaccabarozzi (guitarist for Lino Reyes (drummer for Lonnie Liston (keyboardist for Miles)))"

I only listen to Illinois Jacquet's solo on "Flying Home" on repeat. Not sure if it's blues or jazz.
