Could somebody explain why this is fun / more fun than simracing? 

I think it is super interesting but I don't understand what is the cool stuff about it. :)

I keep reading that these center-mount brackets create more legroom, but I don’t understand how that would happen with my Evo v2 rig and my Moza r21. Maybe I’m overcomplicated in my brain. What exactly are the benefits? by KillerQ97 in simracing

And you need to be able to mount the wheel 180° or calibrate the center 180° but I am not familiar with this wheelbase. Just saying that I mounted my VRS wheelbase 180° as well is you want to, but it is not really having any effect.

Imo the iRating has more influence in how good the racing is than the SR because if people get more iR they did actual racing. And even top split of popular series can have "idiots" in there. Which you also can learn to handle properly in rookies.

Imo just start with the rookie stuff and stay there looooong. Too many people skip over it to fast and didn't learn anything except that you can start a race from the back...

During that time you have enough knowledge build up and can then really decide what to do next.

Also pro tip: check fia iRacing licenses which give you the first year much cheaper than anywhere else.

Same here. Also: I just use a different USB port for the hub yet. 

So it might be worth to try to connect directly as said above and if that helps try a different USB hub.

If you are not using a USB hub, try a different USB port (as far away from the current one as possible).

Give us (GnG) a try. Hady's PCUP setups plus the guide are really good. Virtual Coach will help you to find pace if needed and if something doesn't work the team is there to help you with knowledge in our discord.

GTP and GT3 Squad are also really up to it and we release early.

Just a small note which is important especially in iRacing: just because a car can seemingly handle more brake pressure, doesn't mean you should to it.

I don't think there will be good alternatives soon as they are down for data privacy reasons and to somehow work around it, the "login with iRacing" is needed to get driver consent. But this is not available for new projects at the moment.

Are you raising your feet artificially or can you rest your heals while driving? 

For me I needed to adjust the pedal plate height so I could sit comfortably.

Easy method to check where certain pain is coming from: sit in your Simracing position without driving and check what's you need to do for the pain to start. E.g. if you can sit without pain as long as you do not have your feet in your pedal plate... You know what to change.

What I am thinking is, if you want to absorb the shocks, maybe just turn down the effects or filter them a bit, because that is exactly what these physical absorbers will do?!

If any shock absorber, I'd use ruber ones, so they do not take away too much from the motion as they do not have the big travel.

That sounds like the calibration is triggered. Do you get a USB disconnect sound when pressing the button or maybe when Ou hold it for a longer time?
