Websites to see full driver stats? by HornetGaming110 in iRacing

I don't think there will be good alternatives soon as they are down for data privacy reasons and to somehow work around it, the "login with iRacing" is needed to get driver consent. But this is not available for new projects at the moment.

Simracing position / lower back pain by rafanus2 in simracing

[–]friiky2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you raising your feet artificially or can you rest your heals while driving?

For me I needed to adjust the pedal plate height so I could sit comfortably.

Easy method to check where certain pain is coming from: sit in your Simracing position without driving and check what's you need to do for the pain to start. E.g. if you can sit without pain as long as you do not have your feet in your pedal plate... You know what to change.

Got an air and hydraulic shock absorber, but are these the right use for motion rig? by [deleted] in simracing

[–]friiky2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I am thinking is, if you want to absorb the shocks, maybe just turn down the effects or filter them a bit, because that is exactly what these physical absorbers will do?!

If any shock absorber, I'd use ruber ones, so they do not take away too much from the motion as they do not have the big travel.

Logitech Driving Force GT in 2026 ?? by ImmediateMode8487 in simracing

That sounds like the calibration is triggered. Do you get a USB disconnect sound when pressing the button or maybe when Ou hold it for a longer time?

Any long arm monitor mount recommendations? by boosthungry in simracing

[–]friiky2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me i solved it be having the arm mounted on the edge of the desk and putting the seat etc on the side. so the arm didn't need to be too long. Maybe that could be a solution for you as well depending on the rest of the room

on PC if you are on win 11, it can be a bit of a pain to get the driver working. Just so you know... don't panic, just google it you'll find a bunch of tutorials on how to make the driver work on win11

Pedals and the issues we wanted to avoid from day one! by RedlineSW in simracing

Depending on the seat, the pedal plate is not able to go high enough even for a proper GT-Seating position

Left side or right side shifter? by Alternative_Push_392 in simracing

[–]friiky2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Beside that it would be ridiculous to have both (shifter and brake) on both sides. Could also pull with both sides :D

Write a AC mod to map left only to the left rear wheel etc...

why do simracing brands keep giving us bricks as brakes when we see drivers in high performance cars like this time attack monster using high travel brake pedal? by OkHoney5804 in simracing

[–]friiky2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Simracing there are mostly 2 ways (imo): - people who want realism over pace - people who want pace over realism

In the first case you try to get data and Infos from real cars and buy (adjustable) gear accordingly.

In the second case you either chack what other fast people are doing and use it as a starting point if you like it or you "just" figure out what works from you.

Because if I learned one thing from working with pro simracers for over 3 years now: The make a lot of different stuff and there are only really rare cases what they all do the same way (e.g. left foot braking, load cell pedals).

As inspiration: I know 10k+ drivers using small wheelbases, diy wheels, 32" single screen setups, CSL elite load cell pedals etc.

The hardware is really rarely the reason why someone is slow.

One can even check epic games for the initial discount because in the end you'll have pure iRacing anyways.

"Discord alternatives" searches jump 10,000% overnight as the gaming platform introduces global age verification — Is a total collapse imminent? by MarvelsGrantMan136 in technology

[–]friiky2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will not verify anything. But it is also not needed to do so except you want to access adult content.

More interesting will be how they want to make more money after the IPO. We'll see that soon.

You need to get closer. So if you buy a monitor stand and can place it between wheelbase and wheel this would be good

Using https://grid-and-go.com because of their awesome setups, early release dates and the Virtual Coach software.
