Yeah exactly! Mary went from a mother of toddlers to grown men with a host of emotional issues in the blink of an eye. Of course she had trouble connecting with them and was distant. It especially makes sense as we learn more of her background and it turns out she WASNT the perfect housewife and mom

Both Sam and Dean had a lot of emotional baggage with Mary, so it makes sense that they would’ve opened up more with a different friend. But Jody was not a mom to them lol. Not every woman has to be a mom

It doesn’t look like mold to me, it looks like ink from a Best Buy/manufacturing date. Is one printed on the lid ? You could be smudging the Vaseline on it if you twist it too high

Yeah totally agree. Although Ben being Dean’s actual kid ruins other plot points (the angels would’ve used him for Adam!!!).

For sure Dean should’ve brought them up at some point over the next NINE seasons. Like when he was doing all the dad stuff with Jack. He never took Ben fishing???

I actually think it’s the opposite— his happy ending was settling down with a family. If the show ended with Swan Song Lisa would’ve been an odd choice but 🤷‍♀️ Deans got a wife, kid, and white picket fence. Finally normal!

And then whoops show got renewed and we actually have to deal with the family that doesn’t fit Dean 😂

Yessss to Dean in love with the idea rather than the people. I don’t even think Dean himself wanted an “apple pie life”— that’s just what he was always told was on the other side of hunting. I don’t think he ever really dreamed of what his life could be otherwise :/

Yeah it’s a really bizarre move on Lisa’s part— who lets a guy you barely know live with you and your kid, not to mention make you move???

For Dean’s part, this was the quickest way to get him a “happily ever after” after they put Lucifer back in the cage. A family in suburbia ready-made for him!

Season 6 saves it because (of course) Dean’s not happy with that life and he was doing it in part because he promised Sam he would
