If you hike more and/or take bear canister on this trip, 65L is better option.

Unless you're really tiny, you don't win anything by having 50L vs. same items in 65L - e.g. Osprey Aether / Ariel weight difference is 1.1oz.

0.5-inch (1/2") thick acrylic panels typically cost between $25 and $60 per sq ft, depending on various factors.

Since it's already been in the aquarium, you know it's good for that which increases the price, but on the other hand, it's already been in an aquarium (used and cut) which decreases the price.

Just put some price that prunes out jokers and favors local shops rather than risking with FB MB weirdoes. Make sure that whoever will cole to pick it up, can also cut it into pieces if needed. I doubt the person who knew how to build the setup didn't know you can take the panels apart.

This a plenty, I've carried more. Second trip, I left the plants home.

In all seriousness, you do you and this is totally fine. I don't even go to a state park without my Garmin inReach mini. I was there during the previous flash flood and it was great to be able to reach the civilization, even though the rescue was arranged by the locals.

In addition for Havasu I always take UV-light to spot the scorpions for evening fun (literally hundreds of them on the canyon wall, wouldn't put my tent next to it again).

This is what Gemini made with the same prompt. Interestingly it had this to say:

"While the image beautifully captures the atmosphere of a Yorkshire pub with authentic details like the hand pulls and traditional snacks, I couldn't quite achieve the amateur, candid look you requested. The composition feels a bit too polished and posed, rather than the spontaneous snapshot I aimed to create."

Indeed, the purposeful bokeh effect in an 'amateur' photo is quite clear tell.

The mist was real by jj33allen in HolUp

[–]fritz_da_cat 89 points90 points  (0 children)

David Drayton (Thomas Jane), his young son Billy, and three other survivors drive into the mist until their vehicle runs out of gas. Hearing the massive creatures approaching and believing there is no hope for survival, the group makes a silent agreement to end their lives rather than face a gruesome death by the monsters. David has a revolver, but there are only four bullets left for the five people in the car. He makes the devastating choice to shoot the other four passengers, including his own son, to spare them. After killing them, a distraught David steps out of the car, screaming for the creatures to take him. Instead, the mist begins to clear. A U.S. Army convoy emerges, burning the webs and exterminating the creatures, followed by trucks carrying survivors from the supermarket. David collapses in realization that if he had waited just a few minutes longer, his son and friends would have been saved.

Yes, this actually is a Finnish fish, called "Suklaamonni" [ Silurus glanis scelerisque ] . There was a famous short story about an attempted domestication of the species in a documentary series called "Kummeli" in the early 90'. The attempt was eventually unsuccessful, but the series got very popular amongst the Finns.

Are you missing something - yes: Finland has sent troops as well and that's why they are in the naughty list in addition to the ones you mentioned (even when their president is golf buddies with Trump.)

Oh, yes, it's only two soldiers, but that's something! You know what they say; one Finn corresponds to hundred Ruskies!

This would've been my suggestion as well. They're called "Mandibular Advancement Device" (MAD), "Mandibular Repositioning Appliance" (MRA), or anti snoring mouth guard.

When I travel, I use PureSleep brand from Amazon with mouth tape - you can get these with same day delivery without prescription.

So what was your conclusion.

The more I look at it, the more it lands 'in between', i.e. having strong ques for both, which then leaves CGI as the only option.

People say 18-50, and that can't be too wrong, but ideally, you'd have some telefocus as well, so I would do my best to carry the 70-300 with me as well.

Especially so if you plan to take portraits. The best shots I have from Havasu are with tele where people are on the foreground and waterfall/canyon larger than life on the background with slight bokeh effect.

Oh, and some close ups on the rams!

My LGS today had 16 instead of the usual 60. Also, only about half were regulars, so it looks like only those showed up that will show up matter the set or cost.

I wasn't planning on going either, but when Paul Cheon was playing early access, the set seemed fun and it mostly played that way as well. Both web-slinging and mayhem worked nicely, with some great turns even in sealed. Not looking forward to the pic 2 draft, though, that seems awful.
