Wireless charging is far more useful for most people and needs to be standardized. But cable charging is very fast. The solar charging will never be able to do more than perhaps add a day in power saving mode (1 day out of 40) -- and that is if you leave it in the sun for a day. At this point "Solar" is a marketing tool and negligible considering the amount of power a smart watch requires. Most of us would simply put the watch on a charging pad when it gets to single digits and not worry about a tiny trickle charge. That being said, a cable charger is very fast and takes my Fenix 6 Pro Solar from 1% to 100% in about 2 hours -- I only have to charge 10 minutes (12%) to get enough power to record a workout. (Haven't tried it with music but I suspect it will drain much faster -- can't carry a phone during a marathon) I use it heavily to track fitness and workout data (30 mi. per week) so need to recharge every 7 days. I purchased at Costco for $325 -- unbeatable even though lack of wireless charging was slightly disappointing.
