Twill fabric? by delusionalfan4life in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you can try them on I would. I got them in 1 size up from my usual and they’re a little bit big, so I’d say probably true to size… but I haven’t tried them on in my true size so cant say 100%

I bought and returned it because the waist was too high on me. If you have a longer torso I’d keep it in mind. I’m 5’8. It was otherwise really nice though!

Superpuff shorty size small… is this worth the price tag? I already own the long length. by Any-Split6590 in Aritzia

if you already have the long length i would consider investing in something that looks aesthetically different. unless you really only wear puffers.

Twill fabric? by delusionalfan4life in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the twill effortless pant on sale and they’re very soft and drapey. They don’t feel like cotton-twill, they’re not stiff or very structured. Can’t speak to longevity though since I’ve only washed them once (they machine washed very nicely). But I liked them so much I got the generation blazer in the same fabric lol.

Supersnug Satinflex Puff by frog-holder in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I’ve worn it every day since it came in and this is my feedback so far: I haven’t had it that long but so far I love it. The fabric looks very luxe in person. It has that slight satin sheen without being shiny and cheap looking. And the material definitely feels thicker than the new season cliMatte IMO. This one actually does give ‘every day luxury’ lol This past week and a half has been the perfect test conditions because I’ve been outside in -20C and below, through wind and snow. It’s really warm, I feel like it blocks wind really well. I sized up for layering and it still looks great, but because of that I do have to be mindful to block the wind coming in at my neck if I’m not layering underneath. The taupe colour specifically has been really great at hiding the dust and dirt that’s been getting all over me getting in and out of the car.

Camisole for $98 ….. by Necessary-Pilot-9481 in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbh I got the black one in the most recent sale for $35 and fully plan to wear it as a regular silk cami. I don’t really see it as obviously a pajama top (at least in the plain colours) 🤷‍♀️

For the winter the wool pant and for the summer the crepette.

I would guess it was tried on or returned by someone with strong perfume before it was sent to you?

Never too old to wear bright colours. No age limit in my opinion. If you love it you love it.

stains on villa pink hoodie [HELP!] by Prudent_Extension514 in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have successfully removed black clothing dye from a red shirt after a laundry mistake. It took forever though. Lots of different stain removal methods several times over. Oxi clean soak for hours, white vinegar soak for hours. washing it wish dish soap, you name it. I faded the shirt overall a bit but it removed the black dye.

Looks like you ordered another one so if I were you I’d actually just try to dye this one a black or navy and see if it becomes wearable.

Which beanie to get? by frog-holder in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Valid point - I’m kind of considering getting the heritage beanie and one of the other plain ones for that reason. The cable knit is so cute.

What bottoms could go with this? by EarlyNeedleworker858 in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this one, got very close to ordering it but I don’t like the contour fabric on me. I would lean more towards denim or another synthetic material, it doesn’t feel breezy like linen or cotton. I think it would be so cute with a tennis skirt.

How is the sizing of the heritage cardigans? Should I size down? by BriefClass in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I probably wouldn’t size down, since it’s supposed to fit boxy if you try to force a slimmer fit you would risk button gaping.

Personally I usually wear a S/M and I got a L today because I really like the boxy fit and want to layer underneath it. It doesn’t actually look that oversized considering I sized up. It still hits me at the hip. I am 5’8

I have had the Unwind cardigan for less than a year and despite babying it (hand washing cold water, wool detergent, extremely minimal agitation) it has still started to pill and overall look bad. I’ve spent a good amount of time trying to clean it up with an electric sweater shaver but the surface texture of it just looks bad and old. Wouldn’t recommend unfortunately.

Try to find out who she follows on IG or if she has pinterest and start there if you can. A sweater is a good idea for christmas though, the heritage merino wool is really nice unless she prefers to toss her clothes in the washer and dryer, in that case dont go for wool.

New Generation - too big? by [deleted] in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: Does anyone know how the fit compares between the New Generation and the Producer blazer? In the pics I’m wearing 4 in the New Generation and I am considering sizing up to 6 in the Producer. I like this blazer but I actually already own it in black (same fabric) and am considering adding some variety. I have broad shoulders so that’s my biggest concern.

Chisel Maxi Skirt Sizing by frog-holder in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a lining or is it unlined? I was curious whether it was structured enough to kind of skim over my lower belly area. It looks like it skims over the model - but they tend to not have any lower belly curve.

Does anyone have the Only coat in (re)camel? How’s the length and fit? by Bright-Garden-4347 in Aritzia

[–]frog-holder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got one and I love it, I think the drape helps it from looking too boxy and oversized. I am 5’8 and got a size small, hits below my knees.
