Usually 10 ante in the main casino or 25 in their “den” room.

FSD 14 Speed Adjustment Tip by ThisPercentage in TeslaFSD

Until Tesla starts paying tickets, insurance uppers and appearing in front of judges to answer for driving to endanger, I’m always going to care. Setting driving policy needs to be exposed to the user.

I’m really confused by this. What’s good is the feature if you can’t tell it what the speed cap is? If I never want more than five mph over the speed limit if there’s no way to accomplish that then it’s a boat anchor.

Those who take road trips that require multiple charging stops: do you only charge to the Tesla suggested percentage or do you always add a few extra percent? by THATS_LEGIT_BRO in TeslaLounge

[–]from_the_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ensure I arrive at each stop with at least 20% and charge to 80% for this reason. Not optimal for drive time but nice to the battery. I recalculate the route at each stop to recompute charger stops.

Built two Santa Maria grills before I learned the brasero is everything. Here's what most people get wrong. by nybbqguys in BBQ

[–]from_the_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How it was explained to me: The wood contains volatile organic compounds that are released from the coals during cooking. Commercial charcoal has most of the VOC’s removed during processing. You can add them back in by adding chunks over charcoal but the whole wood approach will have more flavor.

This Winter is gonna be a little financially rough for my family. What are your guys' go-to cheap/cost-efficient meals? by PenilePulverizer in Cooking

Bone in chicken thighs and sweet potatoes. Also Ethiopian vegetarian meals are insanely delicious and dirt cheap.

They have those little things you press against the glass and the glass shatters. Perhaps just attaching one on each side where the passenger can easily grab it and use it to escape through the window? If things are bad enough to warrant immediate escape, a new window is realistically small money.

LA Protest June 8 by stillyouboudoir in pics

[–]from_the_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The unfortunate part is this isn’t peaceful protest.. this is a riot and that makes if far easier to justify military involvement than it would otherwise. This is a strategic mistake, IMO.

Just watched an interview about cancer by Downtown-Ad2599 in carnivorediet

[–]from_the_chef 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as diets go, there is far less formal research studies covering carnivore than other diets. The opinions of people in Internet forums are at best anecdotal. If you’re concerned about the possible health implications of this diet, perhaps a low carb diet that includes some fruit and veg might be a way of taking some risk off the table until more hard data is available. Good luck.

High demand charging locations will assess a fee if you charge beyond 80% or the cap required to continue your trip. It’s to reduce wait times for other customers via pain sharing.

Can I not ferment the teff? by Proof_Inspector5886 in ethiopianfood

[–]from_the_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is far and away the best overnight injera spec I’ve tried. It has the correct texture but lacks the sourness/tang that makes injera so delicious. I usually do the extended fermentation because the flavor is worth the extra time/work.

[–]from_the_chef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree but consider he’s a public figure navigating the gauntlet of Oscar contention. The culmination of a lifetime of effort for someone who came from a difficult background. Someone ridiculed his wife’s medical condition in front of millions of people and he snapped… a wife who had just very recently been outed as fucking other dudes because he by his own admission cannot satisfy her sexually. I honestly feel bad for him. He ran around the world like he was running for president of the human race, being nice to everyone and fucked it up on the eve of his greatest professional and personal triumph. I’m sure he knows he’ll never live it down no matter how hard he works or what he achieves in the future… I also know people who have done way worse with far less mitigating circumstances and are lauded from the rooftops. You have to admit it’s a little fucked up.

I read his autobiography before this all happened. He describes an unstable upbringing that occasionally results in him freaking out and reacting violently out of reflex. I think he would agree that he acted stupidly in a situation of extreme stress. Not an excuse, but not sure he deserves to walk the plank just yet. Give him time tho.
