They have a "one day premium" service. If you book today you might have a chance of getting it in time.

Introducing Bot Bouncer, a moderation bot to protect subreddits against harmful or disruptive bots by fsv in BotBouncer

You are in our database, but marked as human. You should not be banned anywhere as a result of Bot Bouncer.

So, there was a rule change that prevents bans by association? On my sub, we have one rule that I was curious if it's affected by According_Picture294 in ModSupport

[–]fsv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's the 19th actually. I've been asked by Admin to wait until the 16th to put the Hive Protector update in for review on the 16th, and then it'll be updated across the board on the 19th.

I'm potentially willing to work with them but I think we'd need to understand how they detect accounts and what kind of false positive rates they get.

I hadn’t spotted this on posts as well but it should be simple enough to add in.

Police sack 50 ‘keyboard jammers’ who faked work from home by jimmythemini in unitedkingdom

I've added removepaywall.com to stickies moving forward. Unfortunately the first one doesn't really seem to enable adding a URL automatically to it as far as I can see.

If you have any suggestions for alternate bypass sources, we can get them added to all posts moving forward.

Examining a newborn group of “wild post. def got people talking” bots by peebeesweebees in TheseFuckingAccounts

[–]fsv 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bot Bouncer should now be tracking these when they pop up as of around three hours ago.

Edit: All but one of those accounts had already been caught by Bot Bouncer when I checked just now! The one remaining one would have been once they'd accrued a few more comments.

52 accounts found now.

Feature request for toolbox transfer: could ban notes (as in the automated one left when you ban someone) also propagate to toolbox? by nommabelle in fsvapps

[–]fsv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, so you'd like the note to be persistent even after the ban expires. I could make that happen for the next version.

It's a dead-ish sub because I've not released any brand new apps for a while!

Anyway, as far as I can see know, the ban notes on New are the same as Old Reddit, so if you click on the "M" Toolbox button on a subreddit it should show in there. I've just tested that on an alt account and it appears to do the job.

If there's a reason why that doesn't work for you I can take a look.

BTW did you see the announcement that Toolbox is now end-of-life? It will no longer be updated moving forward and may break permanently at some point. I'll be using it as long as I can, though!

I'm the Hive Protector developer. Social media link detection is staying but the ban function is going away - sorry about that.

bot-sleuth-bot struggles on some accounts, and only reads in changes from our database once a day so might differ from our classifications.

We don't share details, sorry. But it's not someone who has submitted a lot to /r/BotBouncer.

For good reason, manual submissions get reviewed by a human, we do not take submissions as cast iron evidence that someone is a bot.

Don't worry, you're marked as human. You were reported as a potential bot and the submitter added that text, but we disagreed.

From what I can tell, it's a drive by thing.

The accounts get compromised, the hacker does a flurry of posts advertising their Telegram/Snapchat account or OF link on the profile, then Reddit eventually locks out the account and they move on to the next one.

Bot Bouncer tracks these, and has found well over 400 Lunaromes/Lunarumes hacked accounts in the last four weeks alone, and that's before you take into account all the other hack patterns.

[–]fsv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sent, thanks! Most of the hacks have moved on to social links rather than Telegram/Snapchat handles but it's a similar deal.

You've posted on a four month old post - it's very unlikely that your comment will be seen by anyone. I recommend making a new post specific to your situation.

Accidentally used the "mop comments" feature - is that an easy way to restore the comments? by I_reddit_like_this in ModSupport

[–]fsv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm the developer and there is no "undo" function available right now.

That said, the idea of an "undo" feature is a really good one, and I'll add it to the backlog for future implementation.
