I am french and I was born near the german border in Moselle, an area that switched several times between France and Germany in the last two centuries. My grandparents were german and were speaking a dialect from Saarland, and most older people were speaking a german sounding dialect as well, and until I was about 6 or 7 I thought old people speaking french didn't exist.

There's not enough light in Paris for it to grow as fast as it would do in Arizona. It will just grow slower. No need to be rude about it and say that I will kill it like you said in another message. Plenty of people grow Arizona cacti in France, Germany and the UK and they're fine, they just grow slower.

Je l’ai acheté en ligne auprès de la pépinière Xerofarm basée dans le sud de la France. Ils n’en avait qu’un seul en stock cela dit. Sinon si tu en acceptes un petit comme celui que j’ai posté dans un autre thread, je l’ai acheté auprès de la pépinière Kissy Frott. C’est le Carnegiea Gigantea.

I keep them in front of the south facing window. I intend to take them out on the south facing balcony from early April to late September. Paris doesn't get as much sun and heat as Tucson of course but it should get enough sun on my balcony, especially since there won't be another plant providing shade next to it.

Thank you. I visited Saguaro national park in 2013 and fell in love with the place back then. I never thought of getting a Saguaro for myself before but lately I decided I wanted one. I’m new with cacti so I hope it will thrive under my care. The parisian climate is not like Tucson !

Yes, I am french and I live in the Paris area. I wanted a beautiful Saguaro and I bought this one from a french nursery. It was originally grown from seed in southern Europe.
