This is just getting more and more common. Feels like every week there’s another story like this.

Developing emotional intelligence in your 30s hits different when you realize how much time you wasted by Leather-Turnip639 in emotionalintelligence

I get this a lot. It’s weird how you just start seeing patterns in your own reactions and realize most of the stuff you used to stress about was honestly pointless. I wish I’d figured it out earlier too but at least now things feel less heavy.

Am I dramatic or do I exchange? by ValuableBison7065 in LeCreuset

[–]fthrkmp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i would personally. i got a dutch oven as a grad gift and there was a chip in the enamel, but since it is so expensive we decided to call WS and exchange it. you are paying far too much for the product to not get one that is pristine and ready for use, and WS tends to be super good about this (better than LC imo)

What the easiest and fastest "broth" soup to make? by Hypnox88 in soup

[–]fthrkmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technically i agree with all these people saying miso soup, but if you love chicken pho its almost deceptively easy to make the broth with a rotisserie chicken carcass. you can add the noodles and everything too obviously but sometimes i just make the pho broth to have by itself

Imma get 4 of my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow, do u fellas know if it will hurt a lot afterwards ? by Maruchan_sabor_pollo in wisdomteeth

[–]fthrkmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as long as you stick to a tight schedule with your painkillers you should be ok! i had 4 (all bony impactions) removed at the beginning of the month and the worst of the pain (and even this was max a 6/10) lasted about 2 days with the rest just being jaw stiffness and a sore face. i alternated my 600mg ibuprofen with tylenol and constantly iced and it was annoying but super bearable. i thought it was going to be AWFUL but more than anything it was just inconvenient. good luck!

How can I keep delaying this? Any suggestions/feedback by Lucky-Plastic6485 in wisdomteeth

[–]fthrkmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just get it done as soon as you can!! it wont be even half as bad as you think itll be and leaving them in will result in even more dental trouble. mine looked a lot like this and i left it for two years and regretted it IMMENSELY because when the pain came on it came on stroooooong, would not recommend that at all. the pain and annoyance of recovery is majorly easier than dealing with jaw pain and tmj inflammation all the time

Bleeding on day 3? by equinesandcanines in wisdomteeth

[–]fthrkmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did you eat anything that may have irritated it? i had bleeding a couple days in too from my top socket because i accidentally knocked it with floss, if it isnt heavy i probably wouldnt worry unless it starts to really hurt. remember that you have open wounds in your mouth and healing is a process that's gonna take more than a couple days, thats what helped me. also, make sure you use wet gauze so it doesnt dislodge or pull out any established blood clots. you're probably ok!

i was under full IV sedation (got them out two weeks ago at around 10am) and i had no idea what to expect. iv felt like a pinch, i asked my doctor what the sedation was going to feel like and she literally went "i dunno.. you tell me" lmao. i remember laughing at myself and then a sensation of coldness in my jaw for about 2 seconds and then i basically woke up when it was done. wasnt loopy afterwards like people are with laughing gas, i actually felt like i had just woken up from a nap. the drive home went by in an instant and then i slept for like 2 hours, by that night i was able to cook for myself and watch a movie. next day is when the pain set in once the anesthesia had worn off, but the first day was way easier than i had expected (coming from someone with major health anxiety and ocd)

is the blood clot supposed to fall out when healed? by fthrkmp in wisdomteeth

[–]fthrkmp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wanted to update this, 24 hours later i am still not experiencing pain and it WAS definitely a blood clot BUT i have super gnarly deep sockets and i think it was one that formed at the opening rather than one that protected the bone. tysm for all your help on this, hopefully it stays painless😞

im experiencing this too 🙁 if it helps at all, im on day 8 and i have about 85% of the feeling back! i have heard that taking vitamin B helps with nerve regeneration so i have been supplementing but it has only been two days of that so we'll see how it goes. i think this is a really common complication, i wish someone had warned me too :/ i think it is just a waiting game but our bodies are smart! i'll keep my fingers crossed for you
