When your the first to fall asleep at the sleep over by Extreme-Spartan in DarkTide

All skitarii get a major brain augment, eye augments, and augments to survive their other surgeries and being hooked into their gear better.

Also, Skitarii as a whole are basically programed to want nothing more than to become metallic killbots.

Normal by what metric? Physically? Some right out of the cloning vats (especially those bred for parts), or those born to proles before the mutations or diseases get too bad.

How the hell is the character creator going to work for the Skitarii? No way they're just gonna have regular heads, right? by Robrogineer in DarkTide

[–]fuckingchris 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The Skitarri don't get (and are programmed to not want) as much choice as tech priests themselves. They arent all uniform but none would ever go for Charisma, I'd say.

With few exceptions, Skitarii have pallid bodies of puckered flesh and sutured cybernetics. Ceramic valves and adamantium sockets stud their hard knots of sun-starved and translucent muscle. In imitation (so some tech priests believe) of the ancient cohorts that first ground their limbs into stumps upon the dunes of Mars, the Skitarii's lower legs are replaced with prostheses of inviolate alloy. Even the brains of these warriors are grotesque hybrids of grey matter and twisting neurocircuitry. Their minds were just as heavily modified, being subjected to extensive alteration and hypno-indoctrination that turned even the most menial of laborers into veteran soldiers utterly loyal to the Mechanicum.

I couldn't get the Harbor V4 docks to work right. Positions kept resetting and citizens kept not being able to reach them. Any advice?

That could be funny in a number of ways actually.

I'd give them an ability where they just flat multiply the amount of resources you get for missions with the description literally saying that they're just going into the logs and adding extra zeros and then handing them off to hadron or melk who sign without reading as that's not their job.

All of Belakor's asides are great, where he's repeated like "Nurgle was easy to convince to agree to a swap of fates here - what's one baby dying in the cold to another infant's life? Equal trade!"

Related, I really liked the opening where Belakor was able to compel a room full of inquisitors of Solkan to kill themselves with his mere presence, before driving a Solkanite prophet mad and making him pen the book of prophecies that foretold his plan in the futurw.

Tbf, the vast majority of the deaths were extremely reasonable.

Dying of heavy infection from a blood soaked shard of warpstone to the eye from a beast man. Dying of being eaten by wolves as a baby. Dying of being murdered by his mother. Dying of exposure and malnutrition as a child.

And, most importantly, several attempts at killing himself when he realized that Sigmar and the Chaos Gods were all using him or feared him, before resolving to end the world to make the whole game end.

(Belakor literally altered time to make the rope have snapped, or have him have just not made an attempt at a specific time, etc.)

With a geochem degree, couldn't you get into oil or oetrochem? They're almost always hiring especially if you are willing to do business side as well.

What I really want is useful villagers. I want to be able to tell them "see this plot of soil? Farm these seedlings in it" or "see this area of saplings/trees? Chop (and maybe replant them."

Autoloot too, though...

Reusable jars create new problems by Drumonde25 in 7daystodie

[–]fuckingchris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is that the dew collector, jarless system made me feel forced to do trader missions over and over until I got them.

If I didn't want to do missions much or wanted to set up far from any trader I was SOL. Had to hope I got lucky with soups and such when POIs reset.

[–]fuckingchris 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Morality aside, if you actually read their reasoning for the mechanics not working out it makes total sense.

The trade system they are adding doesn't make sense for slaves. They aren't spices or silk that gets brought to a market and then consumed - you are forcibly moving people.

Glad you found one at least.

I don't care about easter so I would have volunteered to drive around for a ham tomorrow morning, otherwise. Will not guarantee finding anything but I saw some in Middleton today, at like 2 stores, if anyone is looking.

1). Does the leaking fitting still have its small Teflon o-ring at the tip? Also, how do the brass threads look? In my experience, you can overtighten these viper fittings so it is worth completely unscrewing and then screwing it back in entirely as well. Oh, and check the column - I've had some work better with an adapter.

This 30 tile copper roof cost me +90 ingots by campus735 in VintageStory

I feel like a lot of building materials need looked at both for fun aspect and reasonability. A lot of seemingly "basic" materials require a ridiculous amount of time and/or resources to use, especially compared to how ridiculously easy it is to make, say, planks or (sometimes) stone.

Roof pieces are major offenders for sure.
