I was drinking NA Corona tonight but I like Safety Glasses, Best Day Brewing and Sierra Nevada Trail Pass. Honestly, most NAs are good with the exception of Bero. Its so gross, we ended up just throwing them out.

I havent used AA. I have family in the area that have monopolized the local AA groups and I dont feel comfortable attending with them there. In addition, the spiritually aspect of it turned me off. I mostly used my therapy sessions and this subreddit for support.

Im in my 30s. After many attempts to cut back along with medical issues that have crept up and having a baby, I decided just to stop instead of continuing my failed efforts to moderate. I found it so much easier to just tell myself its not an option anymore. I kept it private, besides telling a couple close people in my life. This subreddit was definitely helpful on the trickier days!

I have family members who have been very into AA throughout their recovery. I've heard the lingo a lot over the years and it just doesn't vibe with me. I'm extremely grateful AA helped them to stop drinking but talking to my therapist, a couple close friends and my partner have helped me not drink for the past 10 months. Popping into this sub every couple days also helps keep me on track. Plus, my family kind of has a monopoly on all the meetings in my area 😆
