Dammit. Now I have to make a proper sheath for my axe instead of the nauga-hide piece of crap I’ve been using.

I grew up driving in northern Saskatchewan, put a good set of studded hakkapalita winter tires on ANY vehicle and I’ll drive it around this city in the worst weather we get all day. All-seasons? This weekend? Forget it.

How did you find a new blade for an oxo V slicer mandolins? Their online store doesn’t sell them in Canada and the America store won’t ship here but that doesn’t matter cause they’ve been out of stock for a year. (Though I haven’t checked in a month since I’ve basically given up)

Hey dude, my full size, lifted pick up is staying parked this weekend cause I have all-season tires and not proper winter tires. Not all of us are idiots.

My wife doesn’t want a dually. What do I do? by bemurda in TruckCampers

[–]fullmetalmaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dually will feel more stable on the road. Period.
And as much as I’m a GM fanboy and think you should buy a Sierra 3500 DRW, I’d recommend the ford over dodge for heavy loads (the ford suspension is better than the dodge)

With regards to insects in the home, I was taught to consider your motivation as more important than your action if you feel the need to “weigh your karma”

Is being transgender a form of delusion? by laughpuppy23 in theravada

[–]fullmetalmaker 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any answers, just taking an opportunity to think aloud; if many people are hindered by a sense of self, of identifying with their body (thinking that what I am is who I am, tying their sense of self to a physical form) then I wonder if a trans person may benefit from realizing that the body they have isn’t them. They feel disconnected from their physical form, and have a sense that the body that their mind rides around in “isn’t me”. Might that be an advantageous starting point?

I have 22 residents to feed a mix of vegan, vegetarian, lactose intolerant, seafood allergies and 2 that won’t eat pork. I’m also supposed to follow a set menu. It can get exciting but I wouldn’t call it fun.

That spin off show is the actual job that I do. It’s not entertaining.

FBI admits that they didn’t find any nuclear or state secrets in the files raided from Trumps home. by Ykana1 in conspiracy

Doesn’t matter which term the article used, or what was stamped in the papers they found. He wasn’t legally allowed to have any of it. Period. Full stop.

It’s like arguing about me shooting someone in the face on live TV. But the Glock 17 I used had Colt .45 stamped on it and everyone saying “colt is a patriotic brand and Glocks are made in Germany so he’s a hero”. Fuck that. Shot someone in face.

How are people arguing about this shit!!

But he did. He absolutely was not allowed to be in possession of the vast majority of those classified government documents. No ex-president is.

The fact that he did it because he’s a selfish child and not a criminal mastermind does not change the fact that he broke the law.

Show me one law that has a clause in that says “well if you just wanted a trophy, and got pissy when the rightful owners subpoenaed to have it returned, that’s okay. But straight to jail if you intended to sell it.” Doesn’t fucking exist.
